Raising My Broiler Birds Drinkers Above The Ground Level To Prevent Any Sort Of Diseases By Maintaining Proper Hygiene

To everyone, practicing proper hygiene is very vital to our growth, staying healthy and living a diseases free lives. This is also very important to my broiler birds for them to stay healthy and for me to have a good outcome and avoid mortality rate which is what the farmers fear most because a breakout of diseases in broiler birds can caused a great loss to the farmer and that's why am preventing against such situations.

Practicing proper hygiene means I am taking every measure to make their environment a conducive one and I am also making sure that they drink good quality water.

Recently, I talked about how my broiler birds are being infected with cough which is caused by microorganisms in one of my post and shared about how am curing them by administer Tylocure Plus which is one of the best drugs used in curing cough in poultry birds and other livestock. Though my birds are really or let me fastly reacting to the drugs as everyone of them are now in stable condition.

But I realized recently that there is more to do than only administering drugs to the birds. I noticed that everytime I filled up their drinkers, it doesn't take long before it all contain dirt due to the drinkers placed closely to the floor and the birds usually put their legs inside the water and sometimes used their legs to spread the sawdust used for bedding in to their water.

This has been giving me a concern for sometime since diseases causal always comes from dirty stuff so that's why I came up with an idea of raising their drinkers above the ground by adding bases to the already flat wood used as basement for the drinkers. Raising their drinkers above the ground level means that they won't be able to put their legs inside the water and if at all they using their legs to spread out the sawdust used for bedding, it won't get to their drinkers and entering their water as well.

I see this as an opportunity to maintain proper hygiene with my birds since diseases easily spread among them because they drink the same water. I was able to achieve this through my creativity as it is very important for an entrepreneur to be creative incase of any emergency such as this.

Right now my broiler birds are drinking comfortably from their drinkers and raising their drinkers above the ground level safe me stress of removing dirt from their drinkers everytime, safe me from recording any mortality rate that can cut off my gains. Another things to take note is that "health is wealth" which means that keeping my broiler birds safe from incurring any sort of diseases also means that I will have a great harvest and wonderful sales.
