Day 6 of LUT Squats Challenge

avatar

Today I was busy all day and only got round to do my sqauts after dinner. I was quite tired and only managed 70 squats on my first set before I had to stop. After some rest, I continued with my second set and did another 50. I really wanted to smash my previous record of 120 squats a day, but I was very tired today.

However I have some very good news, and that is @xrayman has started his squatschallenge today! Welcome friend! Now we have four people in our challenge 💪

Here's my progress so far

Wait, you did one set of 70 and another of 50? You must have been really tired because you only wrote down 110.

At any rate, another day of over 100. Well done!

Hello everyone!

Since I don't have a alt account in Hive, and to avoid the milking of votes in my posts... I decided to use this post of @lut-studio to post my evolution!

Today was my second day at the Squats Challenge! And since I've started "later" then everyone, I have to compensate for that, right?

Today is the third training programme in the gym - C - which corresponds to the lower train, i.e. the lower muscle groups (gluteal muscles, quadriceps, biceps femoris, gastrocnemius, etc)... You can see where I'm going with this, right?

Well, with training already scheduled for today, I took the opportunity and decided to use it to add a few more repetitions to the challenge set by livinguktaiwan, pardinus and dbooster!

After walking approximately 1.7 kilometres to the gym, I started straight away with the Super Leg Press 45º machine! This weightless machine is challenging enough, but I managed to do 4 sets of 12 repetitions each! Finishing with 48 reps and 60kg!

Then I moved on to the next machine, the Super Hack Squat... the real thing! The one that really pushes your quads and glutes! And once again 4 sets of 12 reps each, adding another 48 to today's total... That's 96... And I finished with 40kg!

On the Leg Extension machine (my favourite :) ) I did 4 sets of 12 again, finishing with 60 kg and adding another 48 reps... it's coming together!

On the Proned Leg Curl I did another 4 sets of 12, but here I only reached 52kg, as I was running out of strength to complete the 12 repetitions of each set... On the machine next door I had the Seated Leg Curl and 4 sets of 12 repetitions, finishing with 52kg.

I went on to do the Hip abduction and aduction, also 4 sets of 12 each, but I didn't use them to count my weight.

At the end of the workout, I did three sets of 20 sit-ups on the incline chair just to help give me the look I'm going for... when am I going to get a six pack? LOL 😅

Here's my progression:

Squat Challenge GOAL: 3000!

Day 6: 150 Squats
Day 7: 240 Squats
Total: 390 Squats.... To go: 2610!

To bad that I cannot draw a table in comments... (Sorry ´bout that pardinus😅)

Thank you @livinguktaiwan @pardinus and @dbooster for the motivation!

Cheers!

Now you're making us all look bad, squats with weights!! It's an amazing achievement way more than us and we're just doing straight squats. Great work!

And you're really doing yourself injustice, all this is worthy of its own post, you're just too modest to let people know. Plus, you can do a table inside a comment, it's the same as a post

|Total|390 squats|
|-|-|
|Day 6|150 squats|
|Day 7|240 squats|

Looking forward to you smashing your record again tomorrow!!
