Day 18 of LUT Squats Challenge

avatar

Today I did some warm up stretches before I started my squats. I don't know if I'm imagining it or whether it does make a difference, I felt less popping in my knees. Either way I think I will keep on doing warm up stretches, it's good practice, right?

105 squats today 😊

Here's my progress so far

Hello, @lut-studio !

Warm up are more then "welcome", especially when we must consider our joint health is nothing better for keeping them out of the danger zone. I always start my squats, or even the workouts in the gym with some mild warm up. It doesn't have to be a very long one... Only signalling the body, and specially the joints, that you are gonna put them in pressure for the next minutes.

As promised to @pardinus , here is my three day Squat Challenge recap!

So, as you all know, I didn't had a "good" Friday. For long time I haven't skipped my gym daily workout, and Friday it has to be that way...

Even so, I'm fully committed to this Challenge, so I manage to equalize the number of squats that I've made the day before, so 340 more!

On Saturday, I had a fully day of work, at my club. The day started at 7h30 and only ended at 18h30... I was felling so "lousy"... Couldn't manage to go to a musical play that I planned to watch , neither to the gym... At the end of the afternoon, just before bath and bed time, I manage to add more 100 more to the count!

Today, I was feeling a little numb, but I felt that I have to take control of my will. I forced myself walking to meet @pardinus for breakfast and returned home always walking...that summed up 18 kilometers. In the afternoon, I went off for a coffee with my mother. And now that I'm preparing things to go to bed, I set the bar a little higher and managed to do 200 more (after readying the LUT post about a first set of 70!!!)
Thanks for the extra encouragement and motivation @lut-studio 😀

Saturdays are for relaxing, it's a pity that you couldn't go to the play as planned. Don't be too tough on yourself and remember to treat yourself from time to t ime in addition to your moring breakfast with @pardinus😀

I have to thank you for your motivation otherwise this would be such a lonely month for me

I just cleaned my sheet yesterday, so now starts the adding process; be carefull with those knees if you overdo too many squats! 😏

I have the caution to don't bend them very quickly and make them in front of a mirror, so that I can control the all movement ;) Thanks for the tip, Master :)

That's an excellent idea. My knees have been popping a lot too—I'll have to stretch first as well and see if it helps.

Good job!!
