Major Changes To Hivelist Tokenomics And Updated Roadmap

Happy New Year Hivers! We are about to make another run around the sun with the start of 2024 which will be the 4th year for our little e-commerce project on the Hive blockchain! In this post we are going to go over the new tokenomic changes for the Hivelist ecosystem as well as some updates that are coming down the pipe!

HiveCommerce (COM) Token Is Here!

One of the biggest changes to our tokenomics is the inclusion of the HiveCommerce (COM) token! This token was originally created to work with the HiveHustlers project which was our brother entrepreneur community. Since @thelogicaldude is shutting that down, the decision was made to save the COM token and bring it over to our ecosystem officially! We will be making some changes to our token page on the site to include the COM token information soon. So let's break down what this token is going to be used for.

How To Earn COM Tokens

The COM token will be the new payout token for delegating Hive Power to the @hivelist account. Delegators will earn 0.1 COM tokens per Hive Power that is delegated to our primary account. That is double what was paid for delegating to the old @hivehustlers account.

Another way to earn the COM token is to provide liquidity to the LIST/SWAP.HIVE diesel pool which can be found here on Hivelist as well as Tribaldex and Beeswap. This has been one of the primary forms of distribution and will continue with even more COM tokens going into the rewards pool! To celebrate this, we have issued an additional 100,000 COM tokens and added to the rewards pool for payout!

Staking COM Tokens

When you stake your earned COM tokens, you will be rewarded with daily payments from the @hivelist account in SWAP.HIVE. The distribution of this pool comes from post, curation, and staking earnings from the Hive-Engine ecosystem. Once a month, all Hive-Engine tokens are sold into SWAP.HIVE, divided by 30.5 to get the daily payout amount and then paid out to COM token stakers. All Hive Power and HBD earned by Hivelist is used to pay server bills and other expenses.

Updated Roadmap

Let's now get into some new roadmap updates for the Hivelist project.

New Category Coming to Classifieds

Now let's move along from the COM token and let's talk about some LIST token distribution. For those that are new to this space, the LIST token is the native token for the Hivelist ecommerce community. When you use the classifieds network using one or more of our post tags, you will earn LIST tokens, some of which are automatically staked to your wallet so you start earning more LIST tokens.

The new category coming to our tokenized classifieds network is the new 'wanted' section! We are also working on a template for this category and will be posting it soon. We have actually made the change already on Tribaldex to add the new tag, but the changes haven't been pushed just yet. We are awaiting word from the Hive-Engine developers when this will be live. This adds even more functionality to our little ecommerce classifieds network!

Adding Templates To The Menu

Once we have all the category templates finish and posted, we will be adding these templates as links in the menu. This will make it easy for anyone who needs a bit of help getting a classifieds post started an outline to use to make their posts stand out! This will help give some utility to users and is a way to help us get the network going in the right direction instead of a place to post dump to earn tokens. This should be done by the end of January.

New Hivelist Store Affiliates Network

Another major update that is already to go is our new Affiliates network for the Hivelist Store. This new affiliates platform is much easier to use for both the affiliate and our administrators and pays out 5% of any sales that the affiliate brings in! These earnings will be paid out in HBD to the affiliate's Hive account. Please note, that when you are registering for an account, make sure to use your Hive account as the username so that we know who we are paying. New Hivelist Store Vendor Store and Item Listings

We are making some big changes to the way we will be accepting new vendors and items for sale on the Hivelist Store. We are still working up the details and will be making more announcements as we go along.

What has been decided is that we are going to have 2 platforms for people to sell items on the store. First change that we are making is that we are going to be raising the price to create a store. There is just more work involved in this process on both ends, and we want people who are serious about starting an ecommerce store on our platform to sign up. We currently have too many active stores that, well are not active at all. Many signed up and never posted a single product. So we are raising the barrier of entry for this process. Store vendors will be charged a 10% commission by Hivelist on all sales. Affliate fees are paid from this commission.

For those that just want to sell one off projects or designs, we are creating a new fulfillment service for print on demand products like t-shirts, hats, hoodies, artwork, accessories, and more using our trusted 3rd party manufacturers. We will be charging a per design listing fee with options of 1-5 items per design. We will be creating a SKU with each product and design so we know who to pay. For these projects we will be taking a 25% commission and any affiliate fees will be paid from this commission. The additional commission is to cover our labor in this process.

This new vendor platform will be coming by the end of Quarter 1.

Hivelist Manufacturing

2024 is also going to see a huge change in our product offerings with our own manufacturing serivce! We are getting into the world of 3D printing and will be opening up our product lines to offer many different things that we will be producing in-house! So you can say we are really beefing up our 'Print-on-Demand' service! We believe that 3D printing is opening up the world of decentralized manufacturing, making it easy for anyone to start producing goods at home! This will start to eliminate the need for 3rd party manufacturers which require us to exit crypto into dollars, which we really don't want to do. The whole point of our platform is to build an alternative economy, and decentralized manufacturing is the way this happens along with crypto payments!

We are getting our first 2 printers and tools in the next week, so hopefully will be seeing our first items on the store in February!

The last 3 years have brought many different learning lessons and challenges.
