My Actifit RC: August 4th 23 - The charm of Naples in the rain - IAAC 423

A dear greeting to all lovers of physical activities that populate the mythical community of Actifit and friends of the contest of #POLIAC since today is my first participation in this tournament that I wanted to participate in particularly.

At the corner between the elegant Via dei Mille and the picturesque alleyway of Via Bausan you start to breathe storm air.

A fresh Atlantic disturbance is about to hit the city.

A tense wind of libeccio begins to rise from the sea full of moisture that feeds a storm behind the hill of Posillipo at Monte di Procida which is the municipality of the province closest to the island of the same name.

But let’s go in order and back a little. I wanted to cross the town to reach the sea in a storm but I found the gates barred, rightly, for a weather warning.

Not being able to take the shortcut I walked the parallel to Piazza San Pasquale in Chiaia.

From this sidewalk was perfectly visible, thanks to fresh and clean air, the villa and Roman fortress on the hill of Pizzofalcone which is now a police barracks.

Playing Monopoly we all know that the territories of Piazza Vittoria are the most profitable. Here also in Naples Piazza Vittoria is one of the most beautiful, exclusive and elegant of the city.

Arrived on the sidewalk in the center of Via Caracciolo the sea was surprising little moved and nothing seemed to portend the worst. Indeed, at the centre of the horizon was the magnificent silhouette of the island of Capri.

On the rocks there were, even, many bathers and those who had been lying shirtless who seemed to be naked to take the tan (I’m serious I’m not joking or imagining how I usually do). Observing the sea better was calmer than I had noticed before.

Confident that perhaps we could be spared the storm I ventured towards the Castel dell'Ovo after a short and fun chat with the driver of a bride.

Once arrived at Via Partenope there was some possibility that the storm would have avoided us but still it would have let out some cloud full of rain.

While a few drops of water began to pour from the clouds I took the shortcut of Via Santa Lucia to Piazza Plebiscito from where I noticed that the mausoleum church of San Ferdinando was open.

Compared to the other time we visited it this time was much better lit and I could do a much better photo shoot.

Someone had turned on the lighting of the upper villa and greatly improved the lighting. Some good offerings can make a divine light.

After leaving the church I was able to take a wonderful picture with Naples just out of an imposing downpour that took Piazza Trieste and Trento, Piazza Plebiscito and the Royal Palace.

Certainly the English tourists who were close to me are amazed to find Naples in the rain and with very pleasant temperatures since already with a few degrees they go half-sleeved.

Particularly strategic when it rains in Naples becomes the gallery Umberto I that is now almost completely restored and missing only the small piece immortalized in this photo.

In fact, all the other three sides of the gallery are much lighter and brighter. Thousands of tourists were present who had sheltered from the rain, they were lucky because the Alps is even snowing in the middle of summer.

This time I celebrate my ceremony of gratification of the #iamalivechallenge 423 at home in home with a smile #alive and a few lost pounds that soon will have to be many more.
