Eating out: The Pros and Cons

Hello everyone, welcome to this week's ecency discord topic which is: EATING OUT.

The culture of eating out is prevalent in all the parts of the world. This offers one the opportunity to taste different cuisines by various chefs. Oh well, one may say that most of us hardly eat out, !LOL. That may be a truism but there are certain occasions and instances that may warrant done to eat out; plus the known advantages too.

Take for instance you have a large party. It is easier and more convenient to eat out. The inconveniences of hosting and/or cooking for such a large gathering of people and again the space available will be let off your shoulders.

You have enough time to hang out with friends. When you eat out friends and acquaintances can be invited over for a short dinner, lunch as the case may be. Talk over business and remuninate over past experiences thereafter.

Again, the most important of all is that you do not have to cook. Just walk in and place order of whatever you want that is readily available in the menu, of course. The time to sit down, plan and shop on what to eat will equally be off your shoulders.

Above all, one must also consider the financial aspect of the whole thing. Eating out tends to cost more. This is sequel to the rising cost of food items and transportation too. So whatever that has an advantage also have a disadvantage. This is one of them really.

Finally, you can't control how the menu or dish is prepared. One cannot also rule out the possibility of food poisoning. These and more should therefore be considered when one weighs the option of eating out or otherwise.

The price of eating out is insane in the UK right now and i don't see it getting any cheaper soon to be honest.😎

While i do like to eat out when i can, i refuse to overpay for food that is not worth the value. Sometimes we will choose a fancy place for a special occassion but if we are just grabbing something we will go to somewhere a bit more reasonable.

I used to eat out far more often when I lived in other places. Living as I do now off-grid in the jungle, I very rarely eat out. While I love sharing good food with people, I'm not so interested in eating out much any more. Happy new week, @alovely088! 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙

I think a balance of eating out and home dining is important. Sometimes we are just so tired that heading out for a simple meal can be such a pleasure too.

I get many patients with tummy upset or acidity or indigestion issue after they ate out in the restaurants. I always tell them to eat at home if their tummies are not supportive to digest outside foods :)

I hardly eat out. Sometimes, I take "those" home and eat in a homely environment :P

Prices of food keeps going up and although it may be a nice idea eating out once in a while, finance is the major thing to consider. Nice approach too.

Our family likes to eat out... at home. We have gotten pretty good at creating food that is equal to or surpasses restaurants. Except the fancy expensive ones. :-)

I get tht point...the fancy expensive ones are really what entrap people. Glad to know that your family has become very creative with food. That's a good one as there is a saying here that the easiest way to get a man is to take care of his stomach (prepare a good meal) for he will keep running home because of that.
