@good-karma @ecency this is a issue that needs to be addressed, I have had it happen before but thus is the first time on a post where I am being critical of Hive consensus so it was really inconvenient.
I went to edit a typo, when I hit post it actually made a 2nd post.

When you were posting, there should be Confirmation Alert pointing that current version is Update or New post. Did you get that alert?
Always, when editing a post, I go to the post, and then select this icon.
Usually it does say update in the top right corner as specified here. But for some reason with this post today, and a few in the distant past, it had a "Post" button instead of the normal "Update" button in the edit post field.
I did almost catch myself and not press the post button but figured it was just going to post the update, although I will be watching for that now.
There might be some edge cases bug, added to list to double check the flow. Thanks!
