Про танцующий лес на Куршской косе я слышала ещё в детстве. И, наконец, мне удалось там побывать. В июне 2024 мы с друзьями были в короткой поездке в Калининград и область. I heard about the dancing forest on the Curonian Spit as a child. And finally, I managed to visit it. In June 2024, my friends and I were on a short trip to Kaliningrad and the region.
В нашу программу входила Куршская коса – удивительное место на Балтийском море. Именно на ней необычный сосновый лес привлек всеобщее внимание. Our program included the Curonian Spit - an amazing place on the Baltic Sea. It was there that an unusual pine forest attracted everyone's attention.
Большинство сосен в этом месте выросли с изгибами, что совсем нехарактерно для этих деревьев. Почему так произошло, ученые спорят до сих пор. Но сосны со странными стволами чувствуют себя неплохо и привлекают толпы туристов. Most of the pines in this place grew with bends, which is not at all typical for these trees. Scientists are still arguing about why this happened. But pines with strange trunks feel good and attract crowds of tourists.

Я обратила внимание, что кроме формы стволов, цвет этого леса также не соответствует обычным соснам. Их яркие рыжие стволы здесь обильно покрыты бледно-зеленым лишайником. Сосны не только танцуют, но и одеты в необычные костюмы. I noticed that in addition to the shape of the trunks, the color of this forest also does not correspond to ordinary pine trees. Their bright red trunks are abundantly covered with pale green lichen. The pines not only dance, but are also dressed in unusual costumes.

На выходе из леса лишайника меньше. Ходить по этому памятнику природы можно только по специальным дорожкам. А наиболее привлекающие внимание деревья ещё и огорожены. Многоствольность тоже нетипична для сосен. Сосна разветвилась в самом основание, и каждая из этих веток устремилась вверх и набрала силу, как полноценный ствол. There is less lichen at the exit from the forest. You can only walk around this natural monument along special paths. And the most eye-catching trees are also fenced off. Multi-trunking is also not typical for pines. The pine has branched out at the very base, and each of these branches has rushed upward and gained strength, like a full-fledged trunk.

Жаль, конечно, что нельзя свободно побродить по этому сказочному лесу. Но я согласна, что сохранение памятника природы гораздо важнее. It is a pity, of course, that you cannot freely wander through this fairy-tale forest. But I agree that preserving a natural monument is much more important.

What a peculiar pine forest. I've never seen anything like it. Not with the shape of the trunks, not with their reddish coloring, and even less with the trunks that seem to gain more vitality after a certain point. Thanks for sharing these photos of a dancing forest with us!

I miss a get away weekend in Nature. When things calm down a little bit over this site during weekends, I think I'm going to plan to visit a Natural Park nearby.
