Portraits of an Evolution in Pixels. / Monomad Challenge [Eng/Esp]

Hello, friends.

Here I am again sharing some of my photographic work. Today I bring you a selection of photographs of lizards that I have taken lately. It happens that photographing these little animals is quite a challenge in nature photography, not only because some species are difficult to find in the wild, but also because you have to travel many kilometers to find them; you practically have to go all over the country, since they are very fragmented in population. Of course, it has its disadvantages as everything in this life, but it is really a worthwhile sacrifice.

Aquí estoy de nuevo compartiendo algo de mi trabajo fotográfico. En el dia de hoy les traigo una selección de fotografías de lagartos que he hecho últimamente. Sucede que fotografiar a estos animalitos es todo un desafío dentro de la fotografía de naturaleza, no solo porque algunas especies son complicadas de encontrar en la naturaleza, sino porque hay que recorrer muchos kilómetros para encontrarlos; prácticamente hay que recorrer todo el país, ya que están muy desfragmentados en población. Por supuesto, tiene sus desventajas como todo en esta vida, pero realmente es un sacrificio que vale la pena.

This is a species known as coastal dogs, they are usually dark colored but for some reason they have a white coloration, perhaps a subspecies. I photographed this specimen in the easternmost part of Cuba.

Esta es una especie conocida como perritos de costa, por lo general son de color oscuro pero por alguna razon estos tienen una coloración blanca, una subespecie quizás. Este ejemplar lo fotografié en la zona mas oriental de Cuba.

One of my favorites, not only because they are so rare and you have to look for them far away, but also because of their aggressive behavior, they are very defiant all the time.

De mis preferidos, no solamente por lo raros que son y que hay que buscarlos muy lejos, sino por lo agresivo de su comportamiento, todo el tiempo se muestran muy desafiantes.

Of these specimens can be seen in the woods but you have to look for them, mainly at noon that for some reason go down to the ground, some people give this a very interesting religious explanation but ultimately this is the best time to see them and of course take some pictures.

De estos ejemplares se pueden observar en los bosques, pero hay que buscarlos, principalmente al mediodía que por alguna cuestión bajan al suelo, hay quién le da a esto una explicación religiosa muy interesante pero en definitiva esta es la mejor hora para verlos y por supuesto hacerle algunas fotos.
