Where am I going with my questions? Of course for the next Thematic Challenge :-). The topic for this challenges is:

Natural pharmacy

Some may argue that half the world is covered in snow and it will be difficult to find a medicinal plant. I assure you that you can also find a natural remedy in the snow. For example, some mushrooms with healing effects are best sought in the winter :-).

Your task for this topic will be:

• take a documentary photo of your chosen medicinal plant
• state the Latin name for the possibility of further searching on the NET
• describe what disease you are using "your" plant for
• share with us how to prepare the plant for use (ointments, syrups, decoctions, etc.)

Of course, I have a little inspiration for you :-)

Plantain (Plantago lanceolata)

Today, this plant can be found almost everywhere in the world. It originates from EuroAsia, but has spread throughout the world.

As small children, we used crushed leaves for scratches and minor skin injuries. The wound did not itch and healed quickly.

I made syrup for my children when they had a cold.
I crumpled the washed leaves and layered them in a sealing glass. A layer of leaves and a layer of sugar. Properly compress, close the glass and put "lie down" in a warm shaded place. In a week or two, the contents of the glass are strained through a fine cloth into dark stoppered bottles. The syrup prepared in this way can be stored in the refrigerator for about three months.
