Week 183~ can I live without my phone

Hello everyone!!! Happy weekend to you all, have a fun-filled weekend ahead. For this weekend's engagement, I'll be sharing my thoughts on:

Could you live without your mobile phone for one weekend? Answer why and why not and what challenges you'd face or benefit you'd gain. Remember to use your photo.

Since I started using a smartphone, I've never been away from it for a very long time, my phone is my assistant cause it provides me with information, that brings the world closer to me, I can communicate with family and friends without traveling down to where they live in that sense phone saves cost.

Being away from my phone
There was a day my friend came to my house that she needed to make use of my phone to take an online examination, I was like wow amazing, holding my phone tight, and then she said she would bring it back in the next six hours I smiled at her, I suggested she goes to a cyber cafe so she can make use of their computer there she said no the noise there would too much to concentrate.

Since she mentioned concentration I seconded and gave her the phone, and she left with it. After she left I became restless, I didn't know what to do at that moment, I was trying to do things so I wouldn't think of my phone not being with me.

After some minutes of restlessness, I stumbled upon a book I had some time ago that I couldn't finish and said to myself now this is the right time to make myself useful without my phone. I started reading the book, reading that book I never thought of my phone for hours, the peace and concentration I put into reading wasn't ordinary.

At first, I thought I couldn't live without my phone for that amount of hours then I realized I could, there are other fun stuff I could engage in, like playing games with friends and having actual conversations with people face to face.

I can live without my phone for one weekend, I feel phones can be a distraction sometimes because the attention I pay to my phone if I use that time for something else I will be very productive. If my phone is not with me I can go into reading more books and novels offline cause even online reading with my phone isn't working while reading online if I see any notification pops I'll go check it, it doesn't work like that.

Another benefit is creating an actual connection with the real world outside, I feel my phone brings the world closer to my doorstep so I just focus on it but it is wrong, I need to focus more on the real world out there.
Special thanks to the brain behind these amazing topics @galenkp.

thanks for reading 🌹

living disconnected from the world has its advantages and disadvantages, in your case it was a very good option to lend your phone to go out for a while of virtual network, that helped you to get other things that nourished you, congratulations for that learning. I also wrote on the subject and I identify with you, greetings =)
