WEEK #183: DISCONNECTED - My experience living without my cell phone for a weekend

Welcome, virtual friends💜

Hello, I hope you are feeling well and I wish you a great weekend full of beautiful moments that will make you happy. On this side of the screen we are very well and happy to be back in my country with the whole family. After a long time, I return to this beautiful community to share with you the answer to one of the questions shared by our friend @galenkp... Without further ado, here is the question I chose and its respective answer:

Could you live without your mobile phone for one weekend? Answer why or why not and what challenges you'd face, or benefits you'd gain.

If I could live without my phone for a weekend, it is an experience that I have already lived, and many will wonder how is that possible? Here I tell you my experience...

In the year 2019 there was a big national blackout in my country that lasted 3 days approximately, just start on a Thursday and in some places ended on Sunday night (as in my case) so those days I was without phone, however, it is an experience that I do not recommend...

Although we dusted off board games like ludo, bingo, monopoly and cards to pass the time and we enjoyed a lot that family time (which could be seen as the advantages). It got to a point where I always needed to communicate with other family members who were not so close, distract myself with my games on my phone, check my social media and even to find out what time of day it was.

And maybe you think that's a way of depending too much on some device but who doesn't do it nowadays? And if it is a situation that I would have to live today, I could live it but I would find it more difficult than in that year since my phone became more of a work tool because through it I can take pictures that I use in my blog, write posts, share them, and interact.

In conclusion, although it would be more trouble for me not to have access to my cell phone during a weekend, it is a situation that I could live or rather survive it😂😂😂

Thank you for reading me once again and I hope you enjoyed the reading. See you soon!💜

The blackout in my state lasted more than three days, about a week and a little more, it was very bad. We have to learn to survive without a phone.
