Hello friends!

Welcome to another post in the Street Art community!

Oliveiros Junior, born in São Paulo in 1983, currently known as Utopia, is a self-taught visual artist who from an early age has always shown a great interest, ability and skill for the visual arts. He started graffiti at the age of 13, in 1996, and was strongly influenced by the São Paulo hip-hop movement. A cosmopolitan city, by the age of 16 he was already participating with great skill and responsibility in numerous events promoted by the São Paulo regional government and the Secretariat of Culture, between 1999 and 2004.

Her work gained traction and quickly achieved well-deserved recognition in 2008.

He currently lives in Lisbon, where he develops his creative and artistic activity in a studio located a few kilometers from the city center, in Carcavelos, called Double Trouble Studio.

His creative partners are the renowned and pioneering street artists Nomen and RAM (previous works (1) (2) I've already posted in Hive)

His work, which doesn't just include murals, but also paintings and sculptures, can be found and appreciated in many countries around the world, including Brazil, Portugal, Spain, France, Italy, Germany, Holland, Austria, Poland, Finland, Israel, the UK, the USA, China and many others....

His art has an almost transversal element that serves as a point of contact: the feminine element, his so-called girls, whom he manages to convey a magic and sensuality and seduction through his careful, complex and elaborate brushstrokes.

Now I'm going to talk a bit about the work I'm sharing with you here...

From the particularity of having various masks, which in the end represent the various states of mind, or the various evolutionary points of each person, there is always a desire to excel, to do better than we have managed to do or achieve so far.

The hands, turned upwards, always ready to receive, are in this case true escapes to a different reality. Are we always looking for what we don't have? It's our harshest reality, isn't it? Never accepting the condition we have, or that we've been dealt in life's fate.

Look at the greatest treasure the character has... From the wide-open shutters of her body, a heart emerges from deep within. Protected from blows by a case, brightly colored on the inside, which has bars that hold the true wealth of each one of us! Have you noticed the ladybug perched on the cage surrounding the heart? Delightful detail, don't you think?
