Break my heart, why don’t you. I have seen this 10 times and bawl like a baby every single time at that ending. A1-Pictures can do amazing artistic work. Look at Anohana or The Perfect Insider but they frequently also end up just going for the Sword Art Online style for their adaptations more often than I’d like. The psychological scenes hit home hard and the watercolor style really does work well for it.

Suprisingly, I didn't cry when watching this.
I was just in a state of emotional limbo.
Quite mid for my second sad anime...
A silent voice was my first...
That... Now that really prompted my water works...
😂 I still haven’t watched A Silent Voice. I loved the director’s original works (Voices of a Distant Star and The Promised Place of Our Early Days are a huge part of why I love Anime these days). It’s a film I know will probably break me 🫣
