Let Our Picture Tell Your Story - Edition 47

**I would love to thank everyone who makes this game so much fun :) ** This includes everyone who has supported the contest, and most of all those who entered. You are so awesome!
We are going to be offering two choices for you to use as a prompt this week - and while you can only win one prize, you can write a story about more than one picture if you want. In fact, write as many stories as you like! It will increase your chances of winning! Or just choose the one that calls to you!
Also please note that if you have an image posted in the Feathered Friends community, and feel it would be a good fit for this contest, you should let me know so I can use it next time :)

Thank you for the gracious invite, @wrestlingdesires. I will gladly write a story, but please don't include it in the competition. I'm a child of the 60s and we don't compete😁

This sounds like fun!

Hi @wrestlingdesires,
This was fun. Here is a brief story inspired by one of your pictures (second one, of the bird).

Bluebird
Amber could not remember being warm. She clenched her teeth against the cold. Her fingers cramped. Even her hair was dry and brittle. From the small window in her cabin she saw white. The trees were indistinguishable from one another, all draped in an encompassing snow.

A few logs remained on the firewood pile. When they were gone, what? Furniture? Would the cold end in time for her to collect more wood and heat the cabin?

She stared at the unbroken expanse of white. A horrible, stark, glaring snowscape that never ended. But what was this? A speck of blue. A bit of color tucked in an icy crevice a few steps from her window.

A bird? Not alive. Surely, nothing could live out there.

It didn't move. She hesitated to open the door because of the cold blast that would greet her. And yet, this was the first sign that life might exist out there. This tiny splash of color represented hope.

She bundled against the wind. Booted, scarfed and gloved, she braved the blast and walked the few steps to the bit of blue, to the bird that seemed frozen in place.

Hope. That had kept her alive through the desolate weeks. Hope impelled her forward to the speck of blue, the possibility of life.

She lifted the frozen bird and tucked it in her gloved hand. Inside the cabin she held it near the fire and stroked its inert frame.

"Breathe," she pleaded. "Breathe."

It seemed her future, her destiny was tied to this one tiny being's survival. A bit of life would be sustenance, enough to keep her going for a bit longer.

"Breathe, please breathe!"

The eyelid fluttered. The chest moved almost imperceptibly.

The bit of warmth she had imparted to the blue bird seemed to spread from the tiny animal to the frigid corners of her cabin. Amber continued to stroke the feathers that had softened under her touch. The little bird slowly came to life.

"Hello, little bird," Amber muttered softly. "We're in this together, and we're going to be fine".

Beautiful story @agmoore. A little bird that survives thanks to the help of that person who is also in need of help.
I like to imagine that both of them will make it through the winter.
I loved it

Ambar was moved by compassion and her good heart. Anyone does not risk seeing a defenseless little bird that...supposedly would already be frozen. They would not dare leave the house in the cold and heavy snow. She indicates that Ambar likes nature and she maintains her convictions
Thank you @agmoore for sharing your story with us.

THE LITTLE BLUE TIT SCOUT

HERRERILLO.webp

Photo provided by @wrestlingdesires for the contest

I invite for this contest: @laurapalmerr , @samsmith1971

Here my entry:

Once upon a time there was a little blue tit, beautifully colored, with a mixture of blue, white, black and a few bursts of green. He was born in the hollow of a tree. He was one of the few survivors of Mama Tit's last egg-laying. For that reason she spoiled him too much. He grew up little by little, pampered in motherly care. He was already young, inexperienced in life, and eager to see the world around him. He was nicknamed "explorer" because he always flew off on his own. His mother had warned him that the winter was going to be very harsh and that several families would leave in flocks; they wanted to find a tree or a human family to take them in. Scout set off with the group but suddenly stopped on the road. His curiosity got the better of him... he headed towards a spider's web that was moving strongly....

-Something strange, thought Scout.

Explorer sneaks up...his surprise was even greater when he realizes that a firefly is trapped.Without thinking, Explorer, he releases the firefly from its captivity.
The firefly, in gratitude, says to him:

-Because of me you got out of the flock and now you are lost.Come, I will take you to a house I know.

Scout listened and followed the firefly until... he found a snowman. He had never seen one before; so he started flying around it and decided to have fun.He forgot about his family again. Firefly let him enjoy himself. They were near a house.

-Come on, hurry up, it's getting dark, we must go inside. There are several trees there that can give you shelter.

Hello dear friends of the Feathered friends community. Grateful for having been invited to participate in the new challenge of "Let our picture tell your story", I present my participation below.
Title:
Andrew the adventurer.
Shaved Ibises are wading birds that, despite their somewhat gloomy appearance, are very sweet, peaceful and fly in large flocks in search of places with plenty of water and food.
Andres, the adventurous shaved ibis was one of them. One day he decided to separate from his family to have fun and ended up in a lagoon with reddish waters in which there were no fish, insects, amphibians, or other birds to keep him company.
The impression he had on finding himself in that place was so strong that he believed he was dreaming or hallucinating. There were times when he felt that he had arrived on another planet and that he could not return.
Instead of despairing, he remained calm and meditated for a long time, while he saw himself reflected in the water dyed with unknown colors.
As he was weak from the long flight and the time without food or drink he fell asleep. It was then that he saw a winged being that looked more like a human. He picked him up in his arms and took him to fly over beautiful places, some with shades of green and blue, others white, like the one where he saw a small bird digging through the cold snow, knowing that there was something to eat underneath. He marveled that there was food in that apparently inhospitable place and wanted to go down to keep the little bird company, but the flying human grabbed him tightly and took him back to the tree near the river where he always lived with his family. They received him happily and He acknowledged that he had received a hard lesson.
The winged being was real and he came to Andres sent by God so that he would learn to be obedient and grateful.

I would like to see the participation of friends @jelenaa, @ananime and @aideleijoie in this fun challenge.

Wow! What a great story, good thing there is a winged man to let Andres find home again. It's the same with us people, we just want to soar high, follow or dreams even if at times we choose bad things, wrong paths just to have what we want and desire but gladly God is there who loves us unconditionally and wants us to be fully happy in the best, wonderful way.

Good story @elentogether . Sometimes unexpected risks are taken; but there is always a lesson to be learned. The adventurer had an angel who returned him to his family. he was lucky...

Yes, similar to what happened to the prodigal son in Luke 15, 11-32.

The young heron and the sunset at the lagoon

The lagoon and its surroundings were dyed red and yellow. The young egret, who did not understand what was happening, thought it was burning and flew to warn her family of this dangerous event.

On her way, she came across some butterflies resting on a tree trunk. Their beautiful blue wings moved softly until they stopped and opened in all their marvelous splendor.

The little egret came over to warn them that the Lagoon was burning. They woke up and nervously flew as far as they could, but got tired and landed on the roof of a house. Here, we will be protected.

Two parrots, who were about to sleep among the leaves of a palm tree because it was already six o'clock in the afternoon, saw the hasty flight of the butterflies and asked them what was going on.

The little heron told us that the lagoon is burning, and we don't want to die; our wings are very fragile, and only the glare would burn them.

The curious parrots decided to find out what was going on; it was strange that they didn't smell smoke.

On their way back, they saw a flock of herons flying towards the lagoon and followed them, even more convinced that there was no fire.

A pair of wood pigeons that were sleeping close together on the branch of a leafy tree woke up when they heard the squawking of parrots.
But what kind of racket is this at this hour? Something must be going on. Let's go investigate, and they quickly followed the flight of the parrots.

When they got there, they saw such a beautiful sight that they had never seen before. The sunset had painted the sky red, orange and yellow, and it was reflected in the water. It looked like a painting made by the last rays of light.

The little egret, ashamed of her mistake, hid between her mother's long legs.

She stroked her daughter's feathers with her beak.

Don't be ashamed, daughter; you were cautious and wanted to save us from danger; that's very good!. It's good that there was no fire, and you gave us this beautiful show. Thanks to you, we are here, and we can see it before it disappears into the night
