Let Our Picture Tell Your Story - Edition 51

I would love to thank everyone who makes this game so much fun :) This includes everyone who has supported the contest, and most of all those who entered. You are so awesome!

We are going to be offering three choices for you to use as a prompt this week - and while you can only win one prize, you can write a story about more than one picture if you want. In fact, write as many stories as you like! It will increase your chances of winning! Or just choose the one that calls to you!

Also please note that if you have an image posted in the Feathered Friends community, and feel it would be a good fit for this contest, you should let me know so I can use it next time :)

FRIDAY NIGHT FISH AND CHIPS

I told you, I asked you to stop laying around, get up and help me with the housework said Susie to Sampson S Seagull.

Look at all of those birds up there flying in front of the moon, they’re all up there catching dinner for their families, I get you dinner and you can’t even help me clean up! Susie said in exasperation.

I mean look even, Samantha and Steve Sparrow are out doing the gardening together.

What a great effort Steve’s been making, helping Samantha with the fence there..

Just look at that rose blooming in their garden.

So blooming hell Samspon, get off your sundeck and help me for once will you Please, otherwise you'll be getting your own fish and chips this Friday night! Susie yelled at Sampson, as he laid there with his mouth hanging open in shock.

"Its hot in here"
These three scenes occurred simultaneously in my country, where temperatures have risen more than usual.
The sparrows Lulú and Pepe are at noon in a rose garden and look at each other impassively, from time to time, because the scorching heat does not allow them to make the slightest movement.
The seagulls Juana and Pedro do not have so much problem with the weather and they talk calmly because they live near the coast where the sea breeze calms the heat.
Pedro gives instructions and tells Juana, "observe, pay attention, look at my feet." He then sings "Dance this way, walk this way ...."
Meanwhile, a flock of migratory birds begins the journey at dusk, taking advantage of the light of the full moon. They go towards northern lands looking for more benevolent climates and shouting in unison: "There is no one who can stand this heat, come on, let's fly to the cold before we burn up".

Hello friends, thank you for inviting me. This is my short writing inspired by the three photos.
I invite @carolinacardoza, @nellita66 and @melyxaluna to participate in the contest "Let our image tell your story" - Edition 51.

ETERNAL LOVE

In the bustling city where I live a sparrow, solitary and pensive, perches on the fence of my yard. There's another sparrow. They still don't see each other. Their wings, tired and wounded, led them to land in this place without thinking. Some roses invite romance...From Olympus Aphrodite, the Goddess of Love, is waiting for the right moment to whisper eternal passion to this couple. But first she decided to heal their wings with affection. The sparrows react immediately, as if something unexpected was going to happen to them... They appreciated this feeling infused by the Goddess. They turn around. A look of acceptance and complicity is established between both sparrows. A divine touch occurs; their souls recognize each other. They look at me as if I were their accomplice. I decide to name them: Mimitos for the female and Explorador for the male. I call each one. They understand me, I get excited! I feel their affection when they land on my head. Then they take flight but stay in my yard. From there I watch the courtship and, I listen to the conversation between the two....

Explorer lifts his tail, inflates his chest, bows and makes sounds...sings to his beloved...Meanwhile, Mimitos, pretends not to notice. She avoids Explorer...until she succumbs to his charms. There, Explorador hurries up and says to her:

-Do you want to be my life partner?

Mimitos, very excited, answers him:

-Yes, I do.

The Garden and the Sparrows

One day in my town there was a garden contest, all the ladies signed up to participate in it, the prize was a trip to the golden garden, the largest hanging garden in the world. Being a girl I couldn't participate, so I convinced my widowed father to do it. The town's lords made fun of my father without knowing that he did it so that I would be happy and secretly participate.
There were many comments, none of them prevented me from starting to grow my roses and the beautiful orchids that my grandmother loved so much. Six months until the garden was finished and the envy of the ladies began to be part of their daily lives, they all wanted to win.
What they said about my father hurt me, I didn't understand why I couldn't have a flower garden, but he motivated me to continue taking care of the plants. Every day he watched as the ladies got up to water their plants. The best thing is that each garden had to be different, with unique flowers. My father sculpted the image of my mother sitting in the garden surrounded by pink roses, a beautiful image that caught the attention of the birds, suddenly every day little birds and butterflies arrived, including a family of sparrows. The song of the birds was my alarm clock, every morning I took seeds to give to the sparrows and the rest of the birds. The ladies were attentive to my garden, the birds did not visit the other gardens, my father said that my garden was impregnated with sweet love.
One morning the jury arrived as a surprise, visiting each garden, the sparrows kept knocking on my window to wake me up, that surprise caught us all, you could see the ladies in pajamas and the worst thing was, they took photographs of everything. When the jury arrived at my garden they expressed the same words as my father, adding that the image of my mother was beautifully sculpted, carnations, daisies, roses and orchids and the delicate company of the family of sparrows impressed the jury that I did not hesitate to give the trip prize to my Father.
My garden will be called Sara after my mother's name, the same one that carried the dedication that was placed at the entrance to the town, my father honored the memory of his love, when the tickets for the trip arrived, it seems like there were two of them.
My greatest happiness, my father congratulated me, now imagine this girl in that hanging garden with her father and the best thing was there were sparrows flying throughout that golden garden, birds and butterflies.

The seasonal Holiday

The dry season was approaching, the green plants were gradually fading as their leaves turned yellowish. Aladdin, the black birds knew it was wise for them to travel across countries with greener pastures to ensure their survival.
"Where are we traveling to papa" A little Aladdin asked, he was accustomed to the home where he had grown.
"To Asia, it's going to be a long journey, so prepare thy strength to fly for days" The Papa said tapping him on his shoulders, "the whole family is going" he added before shutting the door.

Little Aladdin wondered how the new location looks like, but his papa had told him they do this every season to ensure their survival. The fact that they were traveling in their groups was a relief for him. Early the following morning, the Aladdin birds were set to travel, abandoning their nest and a few shells they used for cover and in group they flew.
"Let's fly high and fast to avoid predators" the eldest among them said as they flew in their numbers.

The Fued

"You've betrayed our trust" Cici said to her sister who had tried to explain to her all that happened. She looked away and held her head high as she flew a short distance to settle on a wood beside a flower. Cici looked toward her direction and noticed her grim countenance, she knew she had truly hurt her sister, but it wasn't intentional.
"I was trying to know what made them more bigger in size than we " Cici said to Ama who no longer showed concern. After much explanation without Cici giving her a listening ear, she faced the other direction no longer minding what Cici thought.
Cici knew it was a matter of time before her anger subsided but then she was no longer interested in explaining herself.

FREEDOM

It was the second morning of the battle and Mr Bran was travelling with a cart full of birds. He had left just before dawn and he kept charging the horse to ride faster, he was going to use the birds to create a distraction at the war front.
It was all part of the plan set up by the Grand Commander of the Queen's army.

When he got to the battlefield, there was no need. He saw the grand commander rejoicing and around him, the soldiers danced on.

The battle was already won.
"How did it happen?" he asked. "We decided that to minimise bloodshed, each camp should select their bravest warrior to fight for them in a duel. Our great commander took charge and gave us victory"

It was a beautiful story and even though he had suffered so much to gather the birds, Mr Bran knew it was time to release them and he was pleased.

He went round the cart to open the lock. It was as though the birds were itching to emerge from captivity.
The moment the lock was opened, all the birds flew into the sky as though trying to occlude his view of the moon.

The sight was beautiful, there was freedom for the Queen's men and for the birds. Mr Bran was happier than most.

I am soooo glad that this had a happy ending- for everyone, but especially the poor birds.

Humankind has a horrific relationship with sacrificing animals to death without their consent or desire, both historically speaking but even more so in the modern day with industry practices like factory farming and out of the billions of innocent animals that are wrongfully sentenced to death- brutally murdered around the world every week, there are no tales of victory or happy endings for them, so I am very glad that you gave them all a happy ending in your story!
You must be a real animal lover and I thank you for that.

Great so glad to meet another animal lover!

We need to keep educating human kind to remind them that animals are felling beings that just want the same things that we do too.

And we need to tell people to step into the shoes of animals and only then will they realise how badly we treat them...

You know how Batman was initially afraid of bats because he fell down the well on his property when he was a kid and they swarmed him and good old Alfred found him and said, "Why do we fall down Bruce?"

"So we can learn to get up."

Similar experience happened to me. I was photographing the moon and out of nowhere, this massive flock of birds just pummeled me and my camera. I managed to get off a few shots before they knocked me to the ground and cracked my lens.

Ever since that day though, I learned to get up.

Oh, and now I have some wicked cool moon powers.

¡Hello!
Beautiful publications by @qwerrie @papilloncharity and @umirais.

This is my story inspired by the beautiful photographs of @umirais

The sparrow in love

image.png

The rose is always admired, and this was no exception. The sparrow was enraptured by its beauty. The delicate pink petals and their sweet scent had made him lose his mind. So much so that everything around him had ceased to matter, even the sparrow that was waiting for him in the tree, very sad and disconsolate.

Since the first rays of sunlight broke through the clouds and reached the earth to illuminate the life of everything that lives on it, the sparrow would preen its feathers very early in the morning, clean its beak and feet, and quickly fly to the wall to meet its love.

There, he spent the rest of the day. He never tired of gazing at the rose, even when she indifferently did not respond to his admiration. But the sparrow didn't care.

Love, when it is pure, does not need to be reciprocated. I am happy to accompany her.

And when the rose needed him, he was there to help her, like when some very small insects like black dots attacked her, and he gently removed them one by one so as not to hurt her. Or the time he protected her from the strong breeze that was blowing.

But one day, when he returned very early to the side of his beloved rose, he saw it very sad, and its beautiful petals had lost their shine and were falling on the wall.

What is the matter with you? What can I do to help you?

And for the first time, he heard her tender and sweet voice.

My life is coming to an end, and there is nothing you can do about it. But you have made me very happy with your love. Although she didn't tell you, she was silently grateful.

I don't want to lose you, and tears rolled down the feathers of her sad little face.

Don't be sad; it's the law of life, and you have so much life and love to give.

The last petals of the rose fell on the wall, and there the sparrow remained for days under the inclement sun and rain, until the sparrow of brown and gray colors landed by his side to accompany him in his pain.

The sparrow not only learned that love is unconditional, tender, sublime and painful, but also that it is inexhaustible.

The sparrow couple was happily gathering twigs and leaves to make a nest for their offspring. A new learning of love.

Cambio de clima

image.png

Alonso and Roberto lived on a beautiful island, every afternoon they went to the beach to swim and play with the waves, they both liked to build sand castles, run and play in the waves; when they heard the news on the radio the two brothers were alarmed, because a big heat wave was approaching, the mayor's recommendation was to emigrate to another city with a milder climate because staying in the town they ran the risk of not withstanding the heat and the consequences would be fatal.

After analyzing several options they decided to go to Tierras Gélidas, a beautiful town on the island located on the top of the mountain, they undertook the trip with only what was necessary for the flight to be light and as less tiring as possible, after a six hour trip, they arrived at their destination with a little uncertainty and fear but happy because they would be safe, a nice and kind old woman offered them the garden of her house while they were building their residence.

After a month they had their own house, work and food, however a great sadness flooded their hearts when they remembered their adventure on the beach, life in Tierra Gélida was nice but adapting to the new climate had been the hardest part of emigrating, besides leaving behind a whole life, their stories, friends and experiences that may not be repeated; in the afternoon when the birds cover the sky in search of their home to sleep, these brothers can not help but cry for the memories and how much they miss their beloved island.

I thank @wrestlingdesires for the invitation and take this opportunity to invite @annafenix and @emiliorios to participate in the "Let our image tell your story" contest // 51st Edition.

This is about an unconventional love story.

As you can see the male bird is sitting in the middle and the female bird on the right, just in front of the rose.

You can only imagine what happened between the two. Did he or she did something wrong or did something else happen...? Who knows.

This story is about two loving birds facing away. Both on their own journey. Where faith will decide when and how these two are going to meet.

Once in a far distance live, they have met. Long before they came to this particular spot. Will they recognize each-other or are they focused on their own path? What do they need to release and embody before they truly can meet with a full heart? Are they ready to surrender to the universe? Are they ready to transform their current path? Who knows.

The rose represents love and kindness. That the female bird is sitting in front of the rose, makes is all clear. She is warm and kind, patiently waiting for the right male. Her universe.

And the stubborn male, face away. Not recognizing how much love worth is, what it truly means to be loved and feel love. He's afraid and maybe a little bit upset. Not seeing what is in front of his eyes. Literally turning his back to the one true loves he knows.

Maybe he needs some guidance. Some sort of push to put him on the right path. Were pain is no longer the issue. Can he embrace his self and open up for the unconditional love of this female bird?

And what about her? Can she receive love from a male? Or does she have some fearful memories with other male birds? Afraid of being hunted down and pushed around. Or is she standing her ground with kindness in her heart and let this male bird enter her safe haven? Her sanctuary, her rose?

It's all speculations and only their soul knows when the timing is right and if they should engage in a partnership or just are their for healing their own parts...

No matter what these two has to bring to each-other. It's a love story about healing and embracing who you are.

Being able to fly free from each-other in a loving memory, with no attachments.

Truly to be free like a bird :-)

Timothy
