We live everyday to learn more and experience the beauty of life. I hope you're all doing great and having a wonderful day. It is another beautiful Tuesday here, the weather has changed from the last week as their is cold everywhere. Since I don't have much to do today, then I decide to share with you about what encountered during my journey to Ibadan some weeks ago.

Ibadan happened to be the largest city in Nigeria and in Africa at large and it is known for its ancient traditions and it is the capital state of Oyo.

I traveled to Ibadan for work issues from Ilorin. I was fortune to got there successful because it is very scary to travel by road in my country now a days due to the issue of kidnapping and murdering of innocent people which is now a trending topics in my country and also what about fear of road accident which is usually caused due to bad state of the road which has been a major challenges in the country for a long time.

I couldn't get my job done when I got there because I arrived late, so I have to sleep over and do the needful the following day before coming back to my destination which is Ilorin.

While coming back, it was so hard for me to get a bus coming directly to Ilorin, so to avoid staying long at the road side due to the issue of insecurity, then I boarded a bus going from Ibadan to Oyo which I thought will be easier for me to see bus going to Ilorin.

But unfortunately, I couldn't get to see the bus going to Ilorin on time and I have to wait at the road side, but this time around I at ease since I am in the midst of the crowd so I have nothing to be panicking about. I couldn't board the first bus I saw due to the price stuff. The driver charged me the exact amount I would have pay from Ibadan to Ilorin, so I have to wait for another bus to come by.

While waiting at the road side, I decide to take a walk down the road and stay at one corner due to the big truck going up and down. And it is at that time that I managed to saw and captured this amazing statue. It is located at the front of a school gate but I couldn't recall the name of that school.

I was surprised to see this statue and I have to quickly move closer to take it's picture before any bus come over.

To my own imagination and to the fact that Oyo is known for its ancient traditions and culture, I believe that the statue represent one of heroine in the state and that's the reason why her statue is being mould to honor her braveness and to keep her name in the history forever.

Then after some couple of minutes, I was able to see a bus going to Ilorin, though we encountered some challenges while going as the bus keep stopping, we stopped like that twice before the driver was able to solved the issue all by himself, at some point, all the passenger were showing some signs of angers towards the driver including me, but we have to calm down ourselves since we're in the midst of one forest and we have no choice than to be patient.

Since then the bus don't give any faulty sign till we get to Ilorin and I was so happy to reach my destination in peace.

I love the way you have written your blog. Looking at the statue itself, I can sense the braveness of the woman. It is like a mother that protects her children.
