Wanna help Hive? Join the October Marketing campaign (+ tips to survive it)

Hi! A new campaign starts, it has an awesome prize pool of 5000 HBD. It starts on October 9 at 00.01 UTC and ends on November 1 at 23:59 UTC. Which means it's starting now. You can go ahead and start making quest and climb the leaderboard. This is a campaign designed to get us to help improve the presence of Hive on web 2, but not just by using web 2 but by letting everyone know that we have gold here, and we want to share it with the word. Hive is awesome, but we need to actually live Hive, show or success here, and let the world know. That is one of the reasons why the campaign is great, it is way more than just completing task, is increasing our presence everywhere, learning about what Hive is, what web 3 is, and truly understand what we got ourselves into.

As Hivers, we need to comprehend the concept of community ownership. We are all owners of Hive. Sure, there is people with big influence that wet their point across more easily, but we are many, we all count, we do have influence, a lot of us might not notice it in our votes because we delegate a lot of HP, but a 2.5k vote in a proposal can make the difference between approval or not approval, same as our grain of sand is one of plenty that cover the beach. Joining the Zealy campaign is a funny way to give back to Hive while getting prizes for ourselves, and a lot of experience and exposure that could change your life on Hive. I say it from experience.

How to survive the quests?

Well, doing the quests just to get the XP is not nice. Sure it happens some times because the times just comes to fast, but consistently doing things just for the XP and the prize doesn't help Hive nor you, because the tasks will not be approved if they are not even the bare minimum. Here is some advice for the upcoming campaign and the several that will come later:

• Read the instructions: all you have to do is written in the guide. Read it carefully, if you don't understand something, go to the Discord server you need go get role as a hustler and any concerns about the campaign go to the Zealy channel. Doing a task incorrectly helps nobody, even if you re-try, you lose time, you lose on the reputation side, and you make the reviewers lose time as well. Read the task and ask questions if you don't get it.

• Send Leo links. This is a Hive campaign, but if you made a thread or already made the post using the Leo UI, just send the Leo link.

• Create threads of more than 20 words and do them with a purpose: don't answer just any thread to fulfill the task, go find something you like, or you dislike enough to start a debate. Don't create GM threads, if they are still a task, I haven´t checked, that only say good morning. It is a greetings thread, and can be good morning, evening, afternoon, day, and after saying hi, give us something to talk about (plus, if you get a reply, don0t just say thanks, actually reply and continue the conversation. Same advice goes for comments on your posts.

• Have an identity, create covers for your posts, you can create a template for you to just edit some things, it doesn't have to be too complicated, but don't just use the same captures everyone uses or just the free images as they are. Personally, I'm tired of seeing the same captures (I'm guilty of doing this before) and I'm even more tired of seeing the same image of a pile of coins with a plant on top. Do better than that.

• Start doing the tasks as close to the beginning of the UTC as possible, so you don't do them running.

• Use every task to improve your writing skills, reading skills, engagement skills, don't leave the campaign without being a better creator than before-

• Don't complain about bugs, report them with a positive criticism. Everybody, even the Leo team, know there is bugs, it's not like they are trying to make you have a bad experience. Write on the discord, or write a thread with the tag #feedback, and describe what is happening the best way possible, so it can actually be solved.

• Have fun, make the most of every task, because not everyone will win, the prize, but everyone will gain experience and some other smaller rewards.

Are the tasks so scary?

Not at all, they just require you to put your mind on them for a few minutes, you will write posts, write threads, engage with the community, go to web 2 to promote, work on some contacts, nothing impossible and nothing that won't be worth learning. Believe in yourself, you can even if it looks too difficult. The first time there was an influencer quest that I didn't make from the beginning because I thought I wasn't capable, turns out I was but ran out of time because I started too late.

Probably you already do a lot of these things, just without a clear purpose.

Don't forget joining the discord server. If there ever is a bug with Zealy or a fast quest is coming, it will be communicated first there!
