Sun is Setting on the HiveHustlers Project- Time To Consolidate

▶️ Watch on 3Speak

Hello everyone, so the title is true, I am closing down the HiveHustlers project. It's time to consolidate down and cut what is not working out for me. Don't worry, the HiveCommerce COM Token is moving over to Hivelist, so it will still be alive and running.

So here is the TLDW (Too Long Didn't Watch)...

I give some history on the start of the HiveHustlers project and how I ended up taking it over a few months after it was created by it's initial founder.

The token structure is all messed up and confusing because of moves made by the original founder, and then me creating the COM token after I aquired the account and assets that came along with it.

It's time to do what was initially intended when I bought the HiveHustlers account, and completely absorb it into the Hivelist ecosystem instead of having 2 separate things to keep up with that really dealt with the same kind of things, entrepreneurship and ecommerce. All staked Hive Engine tokens from the HiveHustlers account are already being unstaked and will be moved to the Hivelist account to be staked. The Hive Power from the HiveHustlers account will go into my trading account as well as into funds for me to build a greenhouse on the farm. This will help me recover some of the funds and time that I used to aquire this project, plus get some things going that I need to do in the real world.

The HUSTLER Dollar token is already basiaclly at ZERO so I am going to let it die along with the domain once it's time is up.

The HiveCommerce (COM) Token will be moved under the Hivelist ecosystem and the payouts will remain the same after the changeover occurs. I will be moving all of my entrepreneur and ecommerce curation and posts under the Hivelist account from now on. This process will take some time because I have to unstake all COM tokens from the Hivelist account to make the payouts work properly. I will be moving the COM delegation rewards over to the @hivelist account delegators. So those delegating Hive Power to the @hivelist account will earn COM tokens along with staked LIST.

So staking the COM tokens will earn you a daily payout from our Hive Engine curation and post rewards all sold montly into SWAP.HIVE to fill the rewards pool. This makes things easier and takes less resource credits to run vs paying out individual HE tokens.

So, that's pretty much the summary. The sun is setting on the @HiveHustlers project and the HiveCommerce Token is moving ownership over to the @hivelist account. This honestly makes more since in the long run as Hivelist offers some opportunities for us to give the COM token other use cases as we grow the primary ecommerce platform on Hive!

I will give more information about things as they happen so make sure to go give the @hivelist account a follow and let's do some business on the blockchain!

Good call, my New Years resolution in 2019 was no more shitcoins and I am going to double down on that in the new year coming up.

Yeah privacy coins are the only thing u really have confidence in atm. Bitcoin and Eth fees are astronomical compared to traditional banking so it defeats the our pose of crypto entirely.

Yep, that's pretty much where I am at. I don't have the same faith in the entire ecosystem as I once did. At this point I am turning as much as possible into actual hard assets like tools and stuff I need for my homestead farm.

Too bad your are closing shop on it. I think most of your properties need real marketing of you want them to pick up. Not just on #web3 but web 2 as well. Participating in podcasts, launching some advertising and really engaging with activities and tokenomics will make a community strong. Also improving the UX, InLeo is a good example of that. I hope you can do this with the other projects like lists and commerce.
Hive is a powerful engine but it's not complete, it also need a lot of promotion and marketing and UX, just like most things online.

Well, it's up to the community to help market these things. Hivelist is a community based project. Sure the store is my business and could use more promotion, but I can't be the only one trying to help with marketing. If you are a LIST stakeholder, you should help as well as you have as much riding on the value of the project as anyone else does. The problem is, most people don't think that way and that's been a big problem. I am not backed by any kind of VC, DAO, or daddy money. Everything I have built has been bootstrapped by my own income, and that has been pretty low lately to be honest, so I have to do what I have to do.

Sure, I'll help in proportion to my ownership of the total supply. So I expect the biggest holder to do more. I haven't really seen the distribution chart and which users own the most. Maybe they should be the most open to provide marketing to increase the visibility of the project.

Hivelist is supposed to be as decentralized as possible. Once the LIST tokens from HiveHustlers are burned, I will no longer be the largest stakeholder. It's about promoting a solid use case that can help everyone, not just one company. One would think that if people wanted the value to increase and they hold stake, they would help increase that value as well.

Even if you might not be the largest stakeholder, there WILL be larger stakeholders. My point is what is the plan from them to improve the project? Is there a way to know who are them? What are they saying of the project. Hive use a witness system to govern, not sure what is the governance model from LISTS and if it's only POS, then we should learn who are owning of most of it.

You can always look at the Hive Engine block explorer. There is a rich list that you can look at just like you can with any other HE token. Hive Engine has its own witness system with I am number 12 currently but there isn’t a governance model for LIST other than the staking that distributes the post rewards. I am not going to beg people though. They should want to help as stakeholders. But then again, most people here are just out for themselves anyway.

Not sure is begging, is community management. There needs to be some consensus and direction in order to push forward. Most people don't even know what to do or how. That's why most communities have some kind of roadmap or core leadership team or steering committee.

I am moving all the delegation stuff over starting the first of the year, so you have time to undelegate and move it to the Hivelist account.

Man the best decision I ever made last year was to trim the fat. This will allow you to focus and concentrate on what really matters to you.

I remember the situation when you took it over, salute to you for working hard to build it up!

Yeah, all I can say is I tried, lol. It was hard trying to build back a decent reputation but it wasn't enough I suppose. Now I can put more focus into the bigger projects like @hivelist and @blocktunes as well as my own trading income.

RIP HiveHustlers.
It's a great idea to consolidate things, it can be very stressful managing so many tokens and bots.

Yeah, the original plan was to bring it under one umbrella, but I had what I thought was a bright idea to save it, lol. Took 3 years for me to figure out I needed to just go ahead and kill it.

Good Decision.
Consolidation will save your time and effort and too many tokens some time confuse the users also.
