Time to restart the weekly contest! Vacation is over back to work.

Today's post is all about work!

If anyone wants to put in a little work and make some HBD doing it here is this weeks #Frugal topic.

Work

Now feel free to write about work, jobs, job hunting, not working or other work related content.

  • Perhaps you want to talk about what makes a good boss?
  • Perhaps you want to write about working in your own business?
  • Or Maybe about working on your own small farm.
  • Or Maybe about what a fair wage is.
  • Or What do you look for when applying for a job? More money? Better * hours? More fulfilment? Closer to home? Better work/life balance?

As usual there will be prizes in HBD for those people write the best responses. Probably 3 prizes (3, 2, and 1HBD each) with some ecency points for honorable mentions.

Everything is fluid because I don't know what types of responses I'm going to get. Maybe I have to bump up the prizes? Maybe I only get one entry?

Won't know until the final buzzer goes which will be
this coming Sunday. Or after I read everything on next Monday if you to take your chances and wait until the very last minute.

Look forward to the responses!

Side Note: Please tag me in the post @tergan and please post in the #Be Frugal Not Stingy so I can find the posts. If I don't see it I can't reward it.

Hmmmmm...

Let me tag our friends to hear about their experiences. Working and owing a job is a big issue around here.

Sorry. I've been on vacation and now busy at work. I promise I'll do my best to engage with the community though. Really sad I didn't have time to write about the Hive learners topic ... I really REALLY wanted to do this one and thought about it all day... but ran out of time :(

Here's the quick version.

Luke 23: 39-43

But the other criminal rebuked him. 'Don’t you fear God,' he said, 'since you are under the same sentence? We are punished justly, for we are getting what our deeds deserve. But this man has done nothing wrong.' Then he said, 'Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.' Jesus answered him, 'Truly I tell you, today I will be with me in paradise.'"

If I could go back to anywhere and anytime in history, I'd want to go back to that day that take the place of the criminal on the cross.

No other person in history has been told by Jesus personally that they are going to paradise. I'd happily take up that sinners cross and follow Jesus through that horrible moment for a lifetime in paradise.

I'm sure I'd make a better post for 500 words but if I had to choose any historical time or event to take place in that would be it.

As for a title:

"Would you bet your life...."

But I have to go to work so have to miss out on this one :(

Good to see you back here :)

Sorry I didn't see your post in the channel while I was on vacation. I really deserved a curation from the #HivePakistan group (which I can curate from).

Thanks for inviting some friends to this post. Excited to see what I end up getting!

Thank you.

The worst part of the vacation was coming back to work. I just want to retire to the property and become a homesteader (and maybe blogger) instead of a Pharmacist. Unfortunately my job has been posted for almost 6 months now and my boss hasn't even had a single application.

It's sad because he is actually a good boss, its a good Pharmacy, and 104,000 Cad/year is a good pay with decent benefits (medical, dental, flexible work schedule, etc). FYI that would be about 60M Naira.

Guess that's the reason for this weeks topic. In Nigeria @monica-ene says you can't find a decent paying job. In Canada you can't find a decent working candidate.

So sad on both sides of the world in totally different ways!

Hmmmmm... What can I say.
We have tones of pharmacist here willing to work even if it means to start from volunteering before been picked as a permanent staff.

Some must have studies pharmacy and are now seamstress like myself since there is no room for them to practice. It is really sad and not fair.

What an irony of life concerning work. I hope your boss gets someone soon. It's good to have you back. Welcome once again
