Update incoming on #myhivegoals

Hello Hello Hivians...

Six months ago I made this post KISS #MyHiveGoals for 2023: LFG which was pretty self-explanatory from the title.

As we have crossed over into July and hence into the second half of 2023 I thought it was time to review said goals and possible revise them if required!

I made two posts at the end of 2022, one was for Hive Goals which we shall be revisiting now and Leo Goals which I will be revisiting in a separate post from this...

This review is being made with some trepidation!

These were #myhivegoals for 2023

  • 15000 Hive Power
  • 15000 Leo Power
  • 667+ saved HBD
  • 667.95 saved Hive

So where the fluff am I with those goals now?

  • 5200 Hive Power
  • 6100 Leo Power
  • 365 saved HBD
  • 355 saved Hive

The saving goals are spot on, which I am pretty chuffed about.
I am more than halfway on the Hive saving and HBD saving goal thanks to Saturday Savers club.

My Leo goals I shall explore more, although I on paper seem to be behind, I am confident in closing that gap to hit 15000 this year. This will be in a separate post and will include my layer 2 token goals

So back to the main one and Hive Power, ngl, that is behind.

But I believe in the saying of my football team Rangers and that is

NO SURRENDER

I will not be reducing my goal. We are still only at the halfway point, and I am not beaten until I am beaten!

But if we pop over to hivebuzz and scrape some of my figures, then actually I am pretty bloody chuffed with my progress on the social side of Hive!

One of the cool things with the ranking tables in hivebuzz is that you can arrange them or rank them on each variable.

Right so if we update the table that I had as my wished for values then we get the following...

One thing I noticed just now which I had not really twigged before is the number of posts I have made.

I have now made 473 posts in almost 2 years and risen to 8276nd on the Hive rankings... But all my other rankings are way higher than that.

So my take on that is that I am much more social and active than people up the list thousands higher than me.

Being 139th and 177th on the all time Hive ranking list for Number of Comments and Replies respectively is a bit gobsmacking and proves to myself that I am being sociable and using the blockchain as a social media site.

Now though, the battle commences to get up the main rankings which for me are Reputation and HP.

Hopefully by the end of July I will hit Dolphin status...

All in all I am still chuffed at my Hive progress!

Those are some hefty goals, but very worth while ones! Here comes the new Dolphin in town! The cathedral looks ancient, though I'm not sure which on it is. How is it on the inside?

That is a very big goal you have there my friend. Can't wait to see you change the hive status into Dolphin. All the best my friend.

I am halting my HBD goal at the moment since the hive price is still favorable.
But why do you save Hive, do they have nice APR also?

No, no APR for saving Hive, I save it so that I can power up a big amount at the end of the year. I put in savings so that I don't waste it on silly tokens on something!

Couldn't agree mote about the comments mate. That's a real achievement and one to be extremely proud of!
I've also only just been recently looking at Hive buzz and the stays a lot and for anyone with goals or even people who just enjoy the gamification, they are an invaluable resource.

That has to be St Magnus cathedral which you mentioned in an earlier post! One thing that certainly was better in the good old days: architecture.

Great job on your goals! Even if it looks on paper like you're only halfways, with all the compounding and stuff you're surely ahead!

I find story behind it fascinating. Cathedral is absolutely beautiful in its own right, but with stories like that - even total ruin seem to be exciting and worth looking at:)
