Splinterlands Battle Mage Secrets - Archers Lost Their Bow and Arrow

image.png

Hello again Splintefriends, here we are again for another Battle challenge from our favorite play to earn game Splinterlands. and to share our strategies on certain battles rules here we are again challenge with a common ruleset the Broken Arrows.

For this type of rule mage and melee shines the most since all those archers seems to have lost all their equipment, so they were not able to join the battles.

Battle Conditions

Aside from the rule challenge here are the other rules that make this battle more challenging.

  • Reverse Speed - monster with the slowest speed will attack fist.
  • Equalizer - all HP of monsters on the field will be base on the monster with highest HP.
  • Mana - A 42 Mana is given for us to play with, giving us plenty of room for monster selection
  • Element - Water and Dragon Element is available, now this is weird, having this elements available for a reverse speed is problematic, but anyways both of us is affected .

Line Up Selection

image.png

  • With the elements available I chose Quix as a summoner to have access to more Units since it is very limited If I were to choose the water element.
  • Runi is one of my go to Units in reverse speed rules ,having that one speed and lot of utilities makes him a no brainer pick.
  • Expecting a lot of melee so I chose Chwala as my tank, and also having a equalizer health makes the armor more of an advantage.
  • Merdaali is a great utility for any kind of battles, specially when a tank with a lot of health is available, which is the case.
  • I picked Usareus and Infiltrator because of the sneak. In equalizer battles Opportunity units usually still attacks the tank which is for sure very sustaining, so to avoid that , I need to attack the backline so that any opportunity will hit it also when health is lower at the back thank the tank.
  • For Chaos dragon is just for the massive damage, and also it will never miss even with a high speed, since it's a mage.

Battle Highlights

image.png

  • Looking at the opponents line up, going for a backline offense is a good decision, the back is the one dishing out more damage so eliminating her will guarantee my victory . This is gonna be a long battle.

image.png

  • Not much action happened in the first round, but in the second round my backline offense paid off and Magi was eliminated credits to the sneaks and the blast ability from chaos dragon. And as expected Merdaali is just repeatedly healing and repairing the health and armor of Chwala.

image.png

  • On the third round my Chwala fell but the opponents backline as you can see is already crumbling, the only threat to me now is the Affliction from the Riverboat Captain. But during my attack turn, the sneaks and Runi were able to eliminate him before he affected my next tank, Chaos Dragon.

image.png

  • From the third round until the 7th round, the cycle of healing and shield repair from the Merdaali for the Chaos dragon is continues. While my team is slowly eating away the other teams units from the backline. As you can see almost all damage dealer are out. The Blast from the Dragon and the Runi also took care of the Kulu.

image.png

  • Now Only the Baakjira remained, and there is nothing it can do now, the Meerdali will just keep healing my tank and the rest will just chip away it's health.
  • In the 10th round I claimed my victory, And I guess this line up really works in this kind of situations.

For the full battle you can watch it HERE.

Conclusion

  • In equalizer rules ,is it always best to focus attacks in the backline where less resistance is expected.
  • And as always , in every battle a utility unit is very important. Having them changes the result of battles , so always find a way to include them in your line up.
  • Enjoy every battle, you will surely learn and gain experience in every battle you go thru, this makes you a better summoner in your next battles.

So this is it for me now for this weeks Battle Mage, I hope you like my shared battle and got some ideas you can use in your next battle.
Thanks for dropping by, have a good day see you in the next one !
