Day 41/366 Y2024 : Social Media Challenge -The New Battle Ruleset

Hello Splinterlands friends, it's me again @suteru for another wonderful week of sharing anything about Splinterlands.

I have have been seeing this past few days people posting about this new rule that every melee units will surely love.

A lot of melee units are not utilized due to not having a reach ability. Now with this additional rule more tactics will occur utilizing all those sleeping beast melee units.

Luckily today I was given a battle that have this rule, and I am very happy with the possibilities that opened up because of this.

  • Maneuvers - all units will have the reach ability.
  • Target Practice- all range and mage units will hit the first non-melee unit in the opponents line up.
  • Mana - 41 Mana for this round, giving a lot of room for large mana units.
  • Banned - fire and dragon element is banned.

Line Up Selection

  • Iziar - with her taunt ability all monsters will be pulled to attack her, eliminating Iziar ealy on will activate it's Martyr ability to boost stats of adjacent units.
  • Brightwing - with her resurrect , Iziar will be more utilized more , the martyr will be activated twice.
  • Renova and Spirit Hoarder - their triage ability will allow Iziar to sustain more damage.
  • Jared Scar - with the reach ability,he now can attack in the second row. With the skills he have, his full potential will be unleashed in this battle, without worrying him being a target.

Battle Highlights

As expected ,all attacks were directed to Iziar, with Renova and Spirit Hoarder around those heals are coming really fast. Also in this round Hellondale was eliminated due to being the first non melee unit, all units locked all the attacks to him.

The resurrect was not used as I was expecting, my Conjurer was eliminated first but it's fine, all the heals given to Iziar sure makes her more sustainable. Resurrecting the Conjurer also gave me an extra round to take more damage due to the Divine Shield, and wait for Jared to unleash the beast.

Justone hit of Scar deleted Coastal Sentry and activated bloodlust boosting all his Stats, now this is where the fun starts. And to think he did that in the second position makes it so satisfying.

Will all attacks directed to Iziar, Jared is enjoying having a 1 vs. 1 battle with tanks, and bashing them, penetrating every shield and health they have. Another Unit eliminated, more boost for Jared.

So Jared just continued doing his business, one by one all opponents were eliminated and Iziar taking all the extra damage aside from the from lines.

Until the end Jared did all the last hit, even dealing a massive 11 melee damage to Baakjira. A final blow that concluded this match.

So what do you think guys, is this new rule a great addition to existing one ? For me , it is a very much welcome addition . This gives us more fun and more exciting battle in our hands.
