Going to Our Paradise.jpg

Hello guys ,its me Suteru , this will be my first try in joining this "Monthly Blogging Contest" on Hive PH. I've been wanting to join this kind of stuff but I'm just really not sure with my words, but when will I learn try I don't try, right? So here it goes, please do bear with me. 😘 😍

My Favorite Filipino Phrase

"Kung may itinanim, may aanihin" (if something is planted something will be reaped) this for me is one of my favorite Filipino phrase. Growing up as a farmer this words really applies to me but this words does'nt only means planting plants. It is also applicable to a lot of things in life like financially, family and social connections to name a few.

As a child I learned that things just don't come infront of you, there is always a work or effort involved to achieve it. In life your every decision will always have it's consequences based on your actions.

If you want a happy family you have to make an effort to make so, you have to plant love, respect, care and compassion to gain happiness. If you want to be financially stable to have to plant those seeds that will help you grow, learn to save, invest and have financial control. If you want to have good and true friends you have to give good and constant communication, always finds ways to connect and be there during times when they're in need. These things are just few examples that apply to this phrase, and you knew to yourself this applies to almost anything in our lives.

What I Planted

For this following contents is a literal interpretation of the phrase " Kung may Itinanim ,may Aanihin".

I always wanted a simple life, I like to have a house on my own, a garden where I can harvest fruits and vegetable and a yard full of chicken. Thinking about this things always put a smile in my face. So while I'm still you (not to young anymore) , we are now starting to build our retirement paradise.

Fruit trees is always a good way to start in achieving our paradise not only for the reason that you'll have fruits to harvest when It bears, but it takes time for them to grow. So the earlier you start planting the better. And to start with I planted some grafted rambutan.

I bough a total of eight seedling, they are all grafted. According to the seller it would take 5 years for it to bear fruit. So I'm plating it now and give it a little TLC then wait for its fruits. I'm hope the weather condition goes with my expectations,I planted it at the hill top so may the typhoons to come spare this fruit trees.

As I was plating the rambutan my nephew helped me in watering the calamansi that were first planted many years ago, and now they are bearing fruits.

For some reason, di ko mapabunga ang calamansi. Pinapapak kasi ng caterpillars ang dahon. Di sya maka grow. Di ko naman mapalayas ang mga caterpillars. They're so adorable. Haha

Indeed kapag may tinanim, may aanihin!
I started a mini garden din for veggies dito sa city, medyo mahirap lang kasi they're all planted sa pots unlike sa probinsya namin na may malawak na tataniman. I'm glad I started planting, namumunga na rin ang calamansi plant ko. Kapag naubusan or nakalimutan bumili ng calamansi sa market, may huhugutan 😄

Same din when it comes to financial aspect, hanggat maaga pa, magtanim na 😁

Kakauwi ko lang last weekend, but needed to go back here.
I also want to kick-off our farming business but it's physically impossible for me given that I still have my corporate job in Manila. But hopefully soon. Need to get my hands dirty eventually.
