Feathered Friends Black and White Birds - Smap Round #153 - by Sunscape

feathered-friends-pelican-1a.jpg

A lonely Pelican was following me as I walked the shoreline in Jamaica on my vacation a few years ago. I think they are such an interesting bird to watch as we don't have them here in New York.

Thank you @melinda010100 @barbara-orenya and @nelinoeva for this fun #smap contest. Have a great week everyone!

Until next time, this is Sunscape

Saw my first one in Bulawayo around ten years of age, was totally blown away with that beak!

I have always liked these birds, but in the city where I live there are none. What a beautiful photograph, dear friend @sunscape, thank you very much for showing us this beautiful shot.
have a wonderful week

They are gorgeous these pelicans. I am looking forward to seeing them coming back in the spring.
And this one looks great in black in white. 🙂

Thank you, Neli I don't have many pictures of birds now. I will have to start taking new photos.

Same with me, I have not many, almost no new pictures. I am still relying on some old ones.

Never seen one like this in my country! Very big bird with strong beak. This bird appeared in a film I used to see as a kid!

Beautiful photography! In my country pelicans are very often seen in all the coastal area.
