dCity gave me this Dolce & Gabbana hoodie for free last year!

About a year ago my favorite game, #dcity, did a major 100 day giveaway of various NFTs worth about $25k.

The prizes were mostly Splinterlands CHAOS packs (1250) and 15 high-level Splinterlands cards, including a Yodin Zaku gold card (2 BCX) valued at $13,000! I don't remember who won that card but I wonder if they are playing it or just sold it?

Also given away were 30 ETH NFTs from clothing maker Dolce & Gabbana, with each #nft good for one real life, physical D&G hoodie!

Though I'm not really into fashion per se, I do like good quality stuff and I like it even better when it's a raffle prize.

I did really like the idea of an nft that was redeemable for a real life physical item. Also the holders of the nft had a choice of three designs.

For this project D&G partnered with web3 company UNXD. They sold the NFTs for a month or so then had a strict claim period of two weeks where all holders had to claim their item by redeeming the nft on the Dolce & Gabbana website.

Another cool thing is that Dolce & Gabbana did not start production until the claim period was over, so these are made to order! There were 5072 hoodie NFTs and of those over 1000 went unclaimed, which mean there were only about 4000 hoodies produced.

Now it did take them longer than expected to start the claim and production also too a while but then, one day in May, I received this wardrobe box from Italy!

I ended up with two! I won one in the dCity raffle and traded @senstless for one that he won. I think I traded him some #silver for this.

Looking at the pictures it's hard to tell the quality but I can tell you every detail is high quality. I've never felt cotton like this before, it's strangely stiff yet super soft and comfortable.

The ink is puffy and the little tassels on the end of the hood ties are very heavy.

After looking at the price of a D&G hoodie on their website I thought these would have a good resale value, which is the reason I traded for a second one.

That has not come to be though, there are about 20 of these (and some t-shirts too) on ebay priced around $300 but only two or three have sold in total, so probably not the place to try and sell one of these.

This is really not my style and I can't think of a situation I'd ever wear this in public but I still think it's cool as hell.
