Revisiting HiveList - Shoulder Bag and NFT Market

We all know, some of these applications built on the Hive blockchain are not quite what they seem... Or they may be exactly what they seem, especially if they look sort of unfinished, unused, and barely visited. So it may be understandable, that folks like me, who check out one of these sites for a while, soon abandon it again, even if it clearly has potential.

Take HiveList for Example

Ever since I first started blogging back on the old chain, having a well working online store built on the blockchain was the most incredible thing I could imagine. There were various attempts, many very exciting ones, but none that actually remained to become the go-to place for online shopping. Too bad! So I was understandably psyched when I found HiveList.

You may remember my post from seven months ago. That's when I posted the leather bags for sale on HiveList, as well as FB Marketplace. To make a long story short, no one on HiveList tried to scam me (but feel free to read the details of my experience the other shopping site). However, at the same time it seems like there was not too much traffic on HiveList, as I didn't manage to sell anything.

One Last Bag Still Up For Grabs

If you were wondering, the only bag that's still available to buy is the small shoulder bag, where I reduced the price to healthy $100. Which is just about €100. Or of course 100 HBD, why else would I advertise it on the blockchain? So let me know if it sparks your interest!

NFT Market

Though in the end it was not my unsold bags that got me to revisit HiveList, but something completely different: its incredible NFT Market. Okay, the Punks on Hive and Hive Folks gave me a sufficient taste of weird, pixelly images that may (or may not) increase in value. But now, @city-of-berlin , a fellow Hivean has started minting NFTs of herself. And the images are actually quite pretty, a bit artistic, and though I'm again not sure about how much they may go up in value, I know for a fact that it does provide an incentive to share her posts. So share them I will, and hope to start a collection.

If you are also interested, go ahead and visit HiveList NFTs and definitely check out her blog. For each re-share of her recent posts (the ones that still haven't gotten a payout) you will be given an NFT, as long as supply lasts. She also explains it herself how it works in this post. And as for HiveList, let's try to make it the most kick-ass online store around! Maybe then it will start moving a bit faster!

Thanks for the free promotion of my NFTs and welcome to the collectors club 🥰! I have to take a closer look at the market on HiveList. A few more users would do the platform a lot of good, though - unfortunately there's nothing going on there at the moment😟

Free promotion: Don't mention it. Just pay it forward and what goes around comes around.

Collectors' club: I know, it's a passion (as not to say an addiction). In fact, I would be really interested in getting those first two NFTs of yours I missed out on. Are they any better than the last two ones? Not really (though they look just as pretty), but they're out of stock!!! Do you know if the people who got them are willing to sell them? I mean, are they traded somewhere? Maybe on a corner of HiveList I haven't checked? I bet that would bring traffic to the place!

Nothing going on: Though I can see it's not a lot, still it's more than nothing. Usually it's like with the Field of Dreams: If you build it they will come. Well, here someone has already built it, and you and I came, so where is everyone else?

Please tell me how we tried to scam you?

EDIT: Read that wrong, haha. And yes, it's been disheartening that there hasn't been much traffic on our little ecommerce site, but hopefully things will change this round. We are still developing and trying to make things better, including our marketing efforts, which honestly has been lacking, and that is on us. We still believe in the future of ecommerce on the blockchain and hope that people see the value in what we are trying to accomplish. It's no easy task that is for sure.

Thanks for the revisit post!

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

Okay, what I understand is that first you thought I had mentioned you in that post about a potential scam (which I'm pretty sure was developing to be one) as the scammer, but then it became clear that they were two separate things.

When I put my offers up both on FB and on HiveList, the resonance was incomparable! Unfortunately no genuine buyers on either side. But at least on HiveList nobody came up with shady offers of birthday gifts including Steam cards.

What this reply shows me, however, is that you guys are out there, reading my references to posts from half a year ago, with their klickbaity titles. This means so much to me! I will certainly continue using HiveList, even though the traffic there seems to be somewhat moderate right now... But hey... would you, or someone you know, like to buy a fine leather bag? ;-) Hahahaha! Okay, you know what to do!

Cheers to all of you!

Yeah, that was part of why Hivelist was created in the first place. At least on Hive, the accounts have a reputation and most people are not spammers and scammers like that. Hopefully we can get things picked up here in the future.
