I have less time to compete for the top spots and actively blogging, so I'll just compete for the lower spots this time. Luckily the rewards are less valued as well, as I couldn't be competitive as I should be.

Don't expect much from it at the start, but over time they are growing nicely. I have over 300hsbbi's at the moment and when you look at the upvotes of this post, there is one of sbi7, that's because of these hsbi ;)
When you don't post, your 'points' behind the mechanism keep on building, which will give you a bigger upvote when you create an article once again.
