Lichess Team Battle: Never look back, next round tomorrow!
Dear chessfans!
Last Thu. our Blockchain chess team fought its 14th battle in the Lichess Team Liga and this time we ended up on rank 6 only. Players like @vjap55 or @dhilan were definitely missing.

Thanks a lot to ALL participants, first and foremost topscorer @jaki01! As promised, the first bonus points were distributed to the 8 contributers (see last rule).
The next round is tomorrow Sun., 2nd July, 18h GMT.
We will be in the liga 6B. As always, the more from our team join, the higher our chances will be to finish among the top 3 and improve in the rankings!
Mode: 5+0 (5 minutes per game, no increment per move), 100 min. rated arena, win streaks & berserk allowed

The rules:
- Everybody in our Lichess team can join using the link to the tournament (pick our team if asked 😃, in case you are member in multiple teams)
- Only the results of the 8 best contributors of each team are counted in this liga (but all skill levels are important, because each win means potentially less points for the other teams!)
- Every Thursday and Sunday are tournaments
- The links to the upcoming tournaments are - dependent on our result - already provided in the description of the tournament itself and also on our team page.
- All users who score in the Lichess Team Liga will get a one time 5 points bonus in the upcoming Hivechess season 16, all topscorers 10 points!

As an additional incentive, to every player who will be contributing points to the end result (i.e. the top 8 of our team) I will send 1 Hive and 3 Hive to the top ranked player! - if we promote to liga 5!

Maybe you surprised, but I read your last post, too. (the question wasn't for me) I find it interesting, even if I don't participate in, so usually I read it. You don't write novels about it.
I just recognized in my first (and last) participation, there's a downside, if worse players join. (I never played any of the hivechess competition with full focus, doing nothing else, it's just a fun for me, next to doing other things.) Actually, worse players, like me, can give away points to other team's top players. When I participated exactly that's happened, if I hadn't played you could promote, instead of finishing 4th...
Anyway, it was still a nice run, result. Congrats! Good luck in the next 2. And enjoy the summer!
I would not see it that negatively. Sure, you lose to those strong players (as I do as well), but if not you, another player (from another team) would have lost. The best players will always get their points. At least you bind his time.
Perhaps, however, as it is in the evenings for me, I've pretty much always played next to 4-8 poker tables, watching, listening something next to that. (so i get time out many times, can't recognize some obvious 2-3 steps further outcomes, missclick etc.) In case of that inside Hive users competition, it's okay, it effects only me. However, as you probably take it more seriously, and put full effort, focus, I don't think, it's ok and I am sure there is a downside, I don't know how big is that, but definitely some, if those stronger players would have play vs. stronger ones from Hive team or any other, probably couldn't win all their matches, how they did vs. me...
