What Am I Not Spending Enough Time Doing?
A question that could have various correct answers all depending on when was asked...
They are the groups of questions that never get to have a perfect answer
Priorities displace previous priorities
Needs displace wants
It's always a displacing world
Today it's reading book displacing watching movies
Tomorrow it might be playing video games displacing reading books
There's never an end to the cycle.
In an attempt to answer the question above, what I was doing amazingly well that I am not givingenough time now...
It's no thing other than Watching Movies.
I know a lot might think it's something trivial and doesn't need to be accorded time to but permit me to say it's a lie....
Watching movies became a great part of my life growing up as a kid and I eventually kept on doing so till I bumped into medical movies... A greater part of my inspiration to be a medical doctor came from watching movies .
I guess you can see why it is to me a great part of my life I'm lacking and needs to be given bigger time.
Through watching a lot of medical movies and non medical movies, I was able to get exposed to various happenings about life even without experiencing them firsthand...
I travelled to various countries even without setting foot on their soil and got to know a lot about them and their culture.
Watching movies also helped me improve on my vocabulary, hehehe.
I always watch Movies with subtitle, pen and paper prompting me to always pause at intervals to jot down new quotes and new words I heard from movies (will shock you I got my nickname, sergiospero from a movie, hehehe)
Finally, watching movies seems like my discovery home for musics.
Most movies are gloriously backed with melodious soundtracks and I get to discover many artists via watching movies and end up relaxing with most of the musics I discovered there
What you gave time today might end up becoming what you don't do at all tomorrow, (the Dynamism of Priority) and that's just how the world works...
On my end, I've not stopped watching movies entirely but rather I've reduced the time I give to watching movies because of my academic activities.
Truth was that I still watched a lot of movies even with my academics , but then, with the inception of Hive and my onboarding on it, it became a difficult task to multitask around the three activities.
Watching movies took the greater hit and here I am looking for 36 hours/day to watch movies the way I do before that I will never get.
After my academics, be rest assured, I'm bouncing back so until then, my dear movies.... Bear the loss 😢
You're the Opportunity Cost in Economics while my book and hive are my top in my scale preference.
Never multitask to a fault; when you are loosing it entirely on an aspect of your life you deemed important, it's better to stop... There will be time for what you crave once there is life

Watching movie brings an exposition of others culture and traditions so near that we are able to have a near-first hand experience how things are done in the far away societies

Well kudos to you on your academic activities that are taking the wheel right now. Like you said there is time for everything. You'll get your movie time and you'll probably get tired of it as well. In the meantime, I wish you success in all your endeavours.

The movie shouldn't definitely take the hit. Medical students study a lot because their job doesn't give room for a tiny mistake and the time dedicated to study can definitely make
them forfeit some activities in their lives.
It is only for a short time though, there will be enough time to do everything you want after school.

Yeah you are absolutely right about that your best activities might be something you don't have time to do later in the future.

I like your use of the economic terminology, opportunity cost. I also realized that a lot of things I'd been doing have been overtaken by other things which are now my priorities and though it sucks, I'm comforted that I'll pick them up again when things get stabilized.
