Sapien Loop Quiz 3 Answers

Hi Everyone,

Sapien_Loop_C3_Thumb_Results.jpg

It’s time to announce the winner of the third Sapien Loop Quiz for this year. First, I would like to thank all the participants. The turnout was down a little. I think this has more to do with me than with the participants. I halved the duration of the contest from 10 days to 5 days, and I included questions from Part 2. I think it was probably too much of a jump in one go. This month, I will extend the contest back to 10 days.

The participants who managed to enter did pretty well. Unfortunately, nobody answered all the questions correctly this time.

How to Play!

Sapien_Loop_C3_Answers.jpg

For those who did not enter, here is a quick recap of how to play. The quiz contains seven multiple-choice questions. Each question had five possible answers. The participant is required to select the correct answer from the five options. The participant who answers the most questions correctly wins the contest. If there is a tie, the participant who entered first wins. There is also a requirement for the winner to answer at least four questions correctly. This is my way of ensuring that the participants read the book.

The prize for each contest is 30 Hive Power. The entries of the first twelve participants are upvoted.

Question 5: B

Explanations

Question 1: Chapter 9 revealed that Darius and Denise had not spoken in a long time. Denise was receptive to talking with Darius but also frustrated with his attitude towards her. Overall, her feelings were quite mixed.

Question 2: In Chapter 12, Denise strongly refused to attend Orcille’s meal. Darius also declined to attend Orcille’s meal. In doing so, he showed solidarity with her. However, when Denise thanked him, Darius claimed he had a stomach ache. It was his way of playing down his affection for her.

Question 3: In Chapter 13, tensions began to rise between Orcille and Victor. Victor was frustrated with the opulence of the meal. Orcille exaggerated his annoyance with Victor’s remarks. He did so to create an opportunity to have a private conversation with Victor. At this point, Victor was not furious with Orcille. However, he became furious when Orcille remarked about how the kidnapping overshadowed the chaos caused by his presentation.

Question 4: In Chapter 26, Pardi’s media manager read out a complaint by RJ to the Government. The focus of his complaint was his freezer.

Question 5: In Chapter 27, Pardi watched an action-packed virtual reality movie with his daughters. He treated it as if it were a special treat for them. However, once the movie ended, he immediately began to manipulate them into willingly participating in his plot in Adoy.

Question 6: Sapien Loop has a number of antagonists and some apparent antagonists. Orcille appeared as an antagonist in Part 1 with his framing of Victor. Arville was an early antagonist with his brutal behaviour. Collingswaggle played key parts in Pardi’s plots. The main antagonist of the book is Pardi. He is the mastermind behind the main plots against the Sapiens. His character arc runs throughout most of the story.

Question 7: Dr. Cortex is a scientist, psychologist, and psychiatrist. In our world, he would have the title of doctor. In Sapey, there are very few doctors; this is revealed in the next book. Instead, there are medical staff, medical experts, and medical technicians. In Chapter 40, Dr. Cortex was described as a product of 'Direct Robotics'.

Winners

Overall, this contest had five participants. @seki1 and @stekene answered the most questions correctly. They answered five out of seven questions correctly. @seki1 wins this contest based on the tiebreaker rule of responding first.

@justclickindiva entered the contest late, but managed to answer six out of seven questions correctly. Unfortunately, I could not consider this response.

Later this month, I will be holding another contest. The same rules apply.

My New Book, Sapien Loop

Sapien_Loop_GIF.gif

I have published an ebook on Amazon; it is titled ‘Sapien Loop: End of an Era’. The book is fiction. I do not normally write fiction. However, I felt it was appropriate considering what is happening in the world today. Freedom is the most important thing we have, but we are gradually losing it. I have covered this in many of my posts.

In the story, most citizens do not understand the concept of freedom because they have never really experienced it. In essence, the story is about an alien world that might represent our not-so-distant future. There are many other elements to the story that are an abstract and exaggerated version of our reality. I believe this book to be an important read, and I believe it has the potential to change the way you think.

Brief Summary of Sapien Lopp

Sapien_Loop_Full_Hive.gif

This story is based on the fictional planet Sapia and its sole country, Sapey. Sapey is portrayed as a form of utopia for all its citizens. No poverty. No war. Almost no crime. Opportunities for all.

This was enough for most citizens, but not all. In one of the small regions, some of the citizens had become discontent. They felt something important was missing in their lives. Their discontent did not go unnoticed. Some of the Sapey elite wanted to weaponise this discontent to gain more power. This created more chaos than they anticipated. This led to further widespread social unrest.

On top of the chaos, ambition and greed provoked another enemy. This enemy was on a mission to settle both new and old scores.

If you want to buy a copy of the book, below are links to the relevant Amazon websites for each country it is available in. The book is priced at approximately US$5.08.

I am also running monthly contests where participants are required to answer questions based on the book. The prize is 30 Hive Power plus upvotes for the first twelve entries. You can recover the cost of the book with just one win.

Hello @spectrumecons. The book is progressing nicely. Some of the experiments that Pardi is involved in are highly unethical and questionable. Also, his thirst for political power is beyond reason to accomplish his means. I was always suspicious of Orcille appearing out of nowhere to join the group. Anyway, interesting read.

Apologies I was late in presenting my interpretations. Thanks so much for your support of my entry. I do understand that I could not be considered. However, I wanted to participate as promised.

Congratulations to all participants, and especially to the winner @seki1.

Take care everyone and have a good start to your weekend.

Indeed, the book is one of the best I've seen on hive...

The characters are realistic and the plot is exciting in a weird but refreshing way😂😂😂

I plan on making a review on it...

I'm glad you are still reading and enjoying the book. Pardi is quite a complex character. He has a thirst for power, but he's also driven by hatred. He becomes one of the most developed characters of the book.

Thanks for entering. I think the 5 day window was a little too short.

Your timeline is good. I'm just busy offline, and dealing with an ill family member that was just released from the hospital.

Take care. I'm off for a visit today.

Congratulations @seki1!
As I already mentioned with my answers, I found this one definitely harder compared to the first one organized. Though I think that's a good thing, as there would be less ex-aequo's. Atleast that's what one would think :p

Thanks for the organization of these contests and cheers for the book you wrote! I am enjoying it!
Are you actively selling its physical copies or rather passively?
Have a great weekend!

I want to keep it challenging. It leaves more opportunities for people to win. It's not ideal if someone answers all the questions correctly in the first day.

I'm selling it as an ebook on Amazon. I've done some marketing on the US and UK websites. I'll be promoting it again soon. It is very hard to get attention. There are millions of ebooks out there. Many new ones are written by AI.

I definitely agree on the challenging aspect!

I could imagine it's not that easy to be seen, I'll definitely promote it mouth-to-mouth!
