Ice pixie | My entry for Splinterlands Art Contest of this week!

Splinterlands Art Contest!

Hello guys, it's time for a Splinterlands post for this week. I prepared this ahead of time to post this along with the Splinterlands social media challenge but they changed the them for this week xd. Anyway, I decided to draw non rebellion cards because I don't want to exhaust all my choices while drawing that pack for social media challenge. So I searched for an old card and found Ice Pixie and made my own less agressive version of it haha.

For this I looked for a reference on Pinterest with fairy pose and build and found one to my liking. When I made the lineart with the big head as in the reference I didn't like the output so I changed the size of the head to normal and proceeded to paint from there. Everything seems to be faster ever since I started using tab itself to draw xd. I should have done this a long time ago lol.

Anyway, I used the same lighting source as shown in the reference and shaded the character accordingly. The skin of the character is blue since it's an ice based card so I made the background colours in a way that it compliments the character. Blue and orange looks good together so there you go, a background made just for this purpose. Added some trees below and behind the character to give the illusion that she is up in the sky, flying.

After rendering the character I felt like something is missing so I added blue and pink on left am right in an overlay mode and something happened. It's seems to be mixing with the transparent wings of pixie and gives out a nice cool effect. I decided to keep it and added a textured layer on her wings as well for detail. In the official Art the glow is blue but I didn't want to follow that so I used pink instead and added a glow effect around bothpf her hands. Today I decided to add one more thing to finish the painting which is the ice covering on her hands. After that the painting was watermarked and posted here :)

The color combination is really cool bro, I really like it. You are very successful in showing vibrant colors without damaging the eyes of the viewer, this is very good even though it is a cyberpunk reference color but this is your signature color😊

You're welcome friends, yesterday acidyo from holozing informed me but there has been no further follow-up. I haven't been contacted again regarding image licensing and cooperation😁

I'm sure they will😊👍. They are currently busy with all things related to holozing. I just staked my zing from the winnings. The apr is sweet! What about you bro? I was thinking about delegating some hp as well when I have enough. Since the game is new the offer that comes with it is pretty good. Don't miss this chance to earn some bro :)

yes, maybe they are very busy, if I just stake zing and hold posh tokens in my wallet, I think that's enough, for staking Hp from hive, I'm not too sure about this project, so if this project fails, at least I only lose the zing tokens. and posh my token but can still surf with my Hp in hive in peace, because for me an umbrella before it rains is more important😁

I don't think you are staking hp for holozing though. It's simply delegating and you can remove it anytime you want so I don't see a major issue but I get what you are saying. Im interested because I know the guy since I joined hive but not personally. He is a big name around here so that's some reassurance. On top of that one can't simply remove delegation instantly and cause rapid price fluctuations. I heard it takes 5 days to remove delegation so you are in the safe as well.

In the crypto world, I think it is difficult to invest 100% of our money, because the crypto world is very volatile, for example the big names Sam Bakman, Cz from Binance, CEO of Tron and even Elon Musk have done a lot of harm to the Crypto community, I think what guarantees us to focus on Crypto is only patience. us and our lack of greed for money, that's my personal opinion from crypto investment experience from 2017 but it may be different from other people and in crypto 5 days can make us very poor😂

Oh you never invest all. Only invest what you can afford to lose. That's one of the major rule of crypto.

What investments did you make before?

I just hold, shiba inu, bttc, matic, hive pasti and xrp.. used to have bnb and eth but when it reached the highest price in 2021 I had sold everything. Yes, because tomorrow we have to live and eat if our investment turns out to be bankrupt. That's how I survive in crypto investments where the rules are still gray

Do you use your own money for these investments? I never used any xd. I can't handle the loss lol. I only used what I earn online so far.

In 2017 I used some of my savings, and in 2021 my investment in crypto which I put in eth generated 6 times the money I invested, after that I only left about 5 percent of my profits in 2021 in the crypto market and now the additional results My blog is hive😁, yes because I have used my savings so I'm not too sure about putting all my money both online and offline in any crypto project😂

Damn bro 6x huh. That's awesome 😎👍. You invested in the right time. I didn't even know about crypto investments back then. I understand that it's not ideal to invest under current conditions xd. Too much resistance from the govt. My govt is trying everything it can to regulate it so lots of investors are already withdrawing.

yes, initially the value of my investment in eth was minus 80 percent in 2019 but I didn't sell at a loss because I was sure that eth had a clear direction with a view of the future vitalik butterin and finally my patience bore fruit in 2021 and that also helped me after I was laid off in 2020 due to covid. Yes, because crypto does not yet have proper regulations, many countries have to tighten regulations that do not favor crypto and its investors to protect their people. But surely one day crypto will be commonly used for all transactions in the world.

I see. I hope you have a new job now. just like you I also have been relying on my earnings here for my day to day life.

Crypto is not going anywhere, that's for sure. It was banned many times in my country and yet it's still trading and it's legal now xd.

yes, thank you friend, but thanks to Covid I also found myself in this field of illustration, and now I can get occasional work in this field, and this job is fun which I didn't get in my job before Covid, sometimes I realize that God sent us down to launching us higher and higher.

Cheers to you too, friend, we are the same fighters in the field of drawing and blogging at this hive.

With patience, I'm sure people like us will be rich in the future😊
