Last vacation, probably 7 months ago, reminds me of a wonderful journey with family to Munnar, a populat hill station in South India. I had already made an article in another community regarding this trip.

The trip reminded me of togetherness with family. It was a short vacation with children and most of the the offices remained closed as we celebrated a 10 day long festival called **ONAM"

A wonderful 6 hours journey by road enjoying the nature at its best. As it was a highrange area, it was nice to go through the twist & turns amongst the pineapple garden, banana plants and pine trees.

On the way, we halted near a coffee shop and had hot coffee in cups, made of clay. A great refreshing energy it was and an amazing experience. And then we continued to our destination. By 12.00 p.m. we reached our destination.

It was just a building where we were asked to park our vehicle. And from their they arranged a Jeep to take us to the resort, a hilly area. Infact, we held ourself with support while being seated because we could notice the ups and downs in the half thar road. We were going between the cardamom gardens But it was definitely a beautiful experience, that 30 minutes drive.

The resort was amongst the tall mountains. On entering the resort we could smell the fresh cardamoms getting ready in machines and infact the smell of fresh air - free from pollution.

The hospitality was also awe inspiring. Youngsters¹ were the ones serving the guests, even before being called upon. The food was prepared by them by placing an order,, an hour before delivery. The cozy environment made us feel at home.

The main highlight of this place was trekking within the cardamom plantations wherr we finally reach a beautiful cottage surrounded by a garden of variety frlowers, fruit tress, bamboo plants with a sound of gushing flow of unseen water. It was told that the cottage was the owner of the resort, though nobody stayed at present.

As it was festival time the resort members were kind enough to host games for the visitors. They enlightened us traditional meals in banana leaf.

What type of food you prefer.

I usually prefer healthy food. Sometimes it so happens, that my taste buds crave for a tastier and different option, IThen I go for it once a while to satisfy myself. But that's quite rare which means once a while, with the conscious that I am getting old.

As we all know health is wealth, its always better to opt for healthy foods to junk ones. But then who doesn't love to have a change.

So that was one of the most adventurous and memorable recent trip with my family.
