We start the basic construction of the character, the tools of the Tool sai program as circles help a lot at this stage, on that same base layer I draw and shape the character's sketch.
Normally it would be better to do it in different layers because this facilitates the task of erasing when we finish the sketch.

Iniciamos la construcción básica del personaje, las herramientas del programa Tool sai como círculos ayudan muchísimo en esta etapa, sobre esa misma capa base voy dibujando y dando forma al boceto del personaje.
Normalmente seria mejor hacerlo en capas diferentes pues esto facilita la tarea de borrar cuando terminemos el boceto.

To finish our sketch we correct and erase the parts we won't use, followed by starting a new layer where we will make the final lines.
Something I want to emphasize is that I used a different brush for this illustration and this one didn't have a stroke stabilizer, the lines in some parts may seem a little inaccurate, but the stroke and the texture that this brush has, I liked it a lot, that's why I decided to leave it.

Para terminar nuestro boceto corregimos y borramos las partes que no usaremos, seguido de esto empezamos una nueva capa donde haremos las líneas definitivas.
Algo que quiero resaltar es que use un pincel diferente para esta ilustración y este no tenía estabilizador de trazo, las lineas en algunas partes pueden parecer un poco inexactas, pero el trazo y la textura que tiene ese pincel me gusto muchísimo fue por ese motivo que decidí dejarlo.

Color

When applying all the base color, use colors similar to the reference color, taking care not to use too much saturation in them.

Momento de aplicar todo el color base, use colores similares al de la referencia, cuidando no usar mucha saturación en los mismos.

Each color has a different layer, likewise I only used the clothing effect in 2 layers, the rest are layers without effects.

Cada color tiene una capa diferente, de igual forma solo use el efecto ropa en 2 capas, el resto son capas sin efectos.

We applied shadows and highlights, blurred and then applied much more solid shadows in certain areas, this whole step was an experiment for me, I wanted to go a little further with this theme.

Aplicamos sombras y luces, difuminamos y luego aplicamos sombras mucho mas solidas en ciertas zonas, todo este paso fue un experimento para mi, quise ir un poco mas allá con este tema.

We continued applying lights and shadows on the clothes, at the same time we corrected and added stronger shadows on the rest of the drawing we already had ready. I felt very insecure about using such defined lights, as it's not my style, but I must admit that I really like the result of doing this.

Seguimos aplicando luces y sombras en la ropa, al mismo tiempo que corregimos y agregamos sombras más fuertes en el resto del dibujo que ya teníamos listo. Me sentía muy inseguro de usar luces tan definidas, pues no es mi estilo, aun así debo admitir que me gusta muchísimo el resultado obtenido al hacer esto.

I wanted to give special attention to the small horns, I put very defined lights and shadows to give it some texture.

Quise darle especial atención a los pequeños cuernos, le puse luces y sombras muy definidas para darle cierta textura.

I really feel that they stand out very well with those strong lights, this is how the illustration is coming along, there are only details to be added and corrected.

Realmente siento que resaltan muy bien con esas luces fuertes, asi va quedando la ilustración ya solo quedan detalles que agregar y corregir.

As I mentioned before I am using a different brush for the lines, I really like the strokes that this one has, but there are areas where we need more defined or darker lines.
So let's correct the following areas of the eyes and eyebrows.

Como mencione anteriormente estoy usando un pincel diferente para las lineas, me gusta muchos sus trazos que este tiene, pero hay zonas donde necesitamos líneas mas definidas u oscuras.
Así que vamos a corregir las siguientes zonas de los ojos y cejas.

It's time to add a background, I had the idea of what I was going to do before starting with the character, I wanted to represent the magic of his hands in light purple fire and that this was the main source of light, also a somewhat disconcerting background alluding to trees or dragon tails without many details to not detract from the importance of the character.

Es momento de agregar un fondo, tenia la idea de lo que iba a hacer antes de iniciar con el personaje, quería representar la magia de sus manos en fuego de color morado claro y que este fuera la fuente principal de luz, también un fondo un tanto desconcertante haciendo alusión a árboles o colas de dragón sin muchos detalles para no restarle importancia al personaje.

We add some extra glitter to finish, and that's it! We finished our illustration.
I really liked the character I think it has a lot of potential,
