Yesterday I stopped by Sant Antoni Beer Festival in one of the city boroughs. I got there quite early as I wanted to talk with some of the breweries before the crowd was too big. This is what the place looked like.

Just a few minutes later the place started to get packed of people stopping by the booths and tasting some of the beer they were offering. I had a chance to talk with some of the contacts I have made during the past weeks as the guys from Garage Beer which organizes the Mash festival every year.

I also discovered new breweries such as Barna-Brew, who already own a pub in town and are about to open a new one in a few days

It was nice to stop by Basqueland's booth, taste their beer, and chat with some of the guys there. This craft beer from the Basque Country (north of Spain) organizes the beer festival there.

The marching street band appeared with the music and we started to have a hard time talking so the only option was drinking!

The next stop was Homo Sivaris, one of the oldest craft beer bars in town.

After some beers, I ended up having a great cheeseburger and a glass of wine at Market, a very nice restaurant and hotel quite close to the beer festival.

Please, which beer did you enjoy in particular?

The beer shelf is so nice and attractive. But, those companies, were they offering the beers free of charge?

Nothing is free, you pay for your festival cup which gives you the right to purchase beers at the booths.

I tasted several of them, all great but the one I liked the most was Maresme#1 from Maresme Brewing, not shown in the pictures.
