Feathered Friends : The Red Bellied Woodpecker

IMG_5641_edited.jpeg

I forgot how much I enjoy taking photos of birds. I started last year out strong but then got lost with landscapes, industrial images, and whatever else wasn't really bird photos as went out on adventures. So for my first post of the New Year, I wanted to share some photos that I took with Canon and Sigma 150- 600 MM lens on a recent father/daughter adventure.

Our favorite place to bird watch is at a local county park called Goose Island Park. There are lots of birds here, and we love checking it out once a week to see who is visiting. This trip featured the Red Bellied Woodpecker!

What a beautiful bird to photograph...we love our woodpeckers up here in Wisconsin.

So a fresh collection to share in the New Year! My hope is get a share together, once a week, with birds in the area. It's been something I've wanted to do for sometime...now I just need to follow through.

Thanks for checking out my post! I hope everyone is having a wonderful start to the new year!
