Mar Toren Seeker Fanart || Splinterlands Art Contest Week 277. (Eng/Esp)

Today I share my entry for the weekly Splinterlands community contest.

For this week I chose to make a representation of the character Mar Toren Seeker, a water type character. I had been using fire characters for 3 posts in a row and I felt it was time for a change. I really like this character because of his musculature and the shades of his skin, besides his facial expression makes him look like someone superior, and of course I couldn't miss the trident, a representative weapon in these aquatic characters.

To make this drawing I used the technique of colored pencils on paper. The drawing took about 7 hours to complete. Below you can see the process of this drawing, I hope you enjoy it.

Process:

I started by making the sketch. I chose a position where his hand would cover his chest a little and the other would hold the trident. He is a little bent over. I wanted to highlight his muscles and his imposing look.

I used a pen and some fine tip markers to outline the lines of the character.

I used flesh color as the base color for the skin.

To give saturation to the skin I used a pink color, for the shadows I used brick red and brown, with the red color I made some decorative lines on her arms and trapezoids. For the hair and eyebrows I used navy blue and drew the eyes with yellow.

For the trident I used the yellow color and shaded with brown, orange and ochre, the two lateral tips were drawn with black color and on top of it the color midnight blue. The fin was drawn with sky blue and then shaded with navy blue, the edges were drawn with midnight blue and the tip of the fin was drawn with midnight and navy blue. The waist area I drew with the colors ochre and brick red.

For the background I came up with a kind of waves where each end would be like foam and in the middle I would make the transition showing the water, and below that I drew some blue and yellow lines as I felt the drawing was a bit empty before this.

Hola amigos de Hive, bienvenidos a un nuevo post! Espero que se encuentren muy bien y tengan un lindo día.

El día de hoy comparto mi entrada para el concurso semanal de la comunidad de Splinterlands.

Para esta semana elegí hacer una representación del personaje Mar Toren Seeker, personaje de tipo agua. Llevaba ya 3 publicaciones seguidas usando personajes de fuegos y ya sentía que era tiempo de variar un poco. Este personaje me gusta mucho por su musculatura y los matices de su piel, además su expresión facial lo hace ver cómo alguien superior, y claro no podía faltar el tridente, un arma representativa en estos personajes acuáticos.

Para hacer este dibujo usé la técnica de lápices de colores sobre papel. El dibujo tomo al rededor de unas 7 horas en ser realizado. A continuación podrán ver el proceso de éste dibujo, espero que lo disfruten.

Proceso:

Empecé haciendo el boceto. Elegí una posición donde su mano cubriera un poco su pecho y la otra sostuviera el tridente. El está un poco inclinado. Quise resaltar sus músculos y su mirada imponente.

Usé un bolígrafo y algunos marcadores punta fina para delinear las líneas del personaje.

Usé el color carne como color base de la piel.

Para darle saturación a la piel usé un color rosado, para las sombras usé el color rojo ladrillo y el café, con el color rojo hice unas líneas decorativas en sus brazos y trapecios. Para el pelo y las cejas usé el color azul marino y dibuje los ojos con el color amarillo.

Para el tridente usé el color amarillo y sombree con el color café, naranja y ocre, las dos puntas laterales fueron dibujadas con el color negro y encima el color azul noche. La aleta la dibujé con el color azul cielo y después sombree con el color azul marino, los bordes los dibujé con el color azul noche y la punta de la aleta la dibujé con el color azul marino y noche. El área de la cintura la dibujé con los colores ocre y rojo ladrillo.

Para el fondo idee una especie de olas donde cada extremo serían como la espuma y en el medio haría la transición que muestra el agua, y abajo de eso dibuje unas líneas azules y amarillas ya que sentía algo vacío el dibujo antes de ésto.
