Clouds of Cyclone Biparjoy in Karachi

This past week was tense and full of threats as Cyclone Biparjoy was heading towards coastal area of Pakistan and India. However, later on concern department who predicts weather forecast and warn against different disasters, confirmed that its intensity and strength was decreased and the threat of hitting coastal areas hard was over. Thank God, it didn’t damaged the coastal areas as much as predicted however, still it did some destruction and nearby cities and villages faced the after effects of it.

All news channels and social media were busy in keeping up to date of cyclone Biparjoy. We were mentally prepared and people were avoiding unnecessary movements in the city. It was said that Karachi, where I live, will receive some heavy rainfall, gusts and strong winds throughout this past week. Precautionary measures and awareness is important so that people could get mentally prepared for any such natural disaster. Rain in the city could block roads and is very risky to move from one place to another. However, we didn’t face any such issues as clouds of cyclone Biparjoy came to Karachi but they were not in the mood.

Yes, we witnessed some strong winds and gusts in the city. It was hard to ride a bike but my friend managed well and we both went and came back home safely all week long.

I am sharing here some pictures of the clouds of cyclone Biparjoy. I captured them while I was sitting behind on the bike, taking these pictures on a moving bike. Not at all easy as it was windy evening, I was afraid of dropping my cell phone but I took the risk, don’t want to miss this chance of capturing such a lovely sky view. Sky with these scattered clouds was looking awesome to me.

We received a bit of rain in the afternoon of 13th and 14th June. Nothing more than that. Weather looks enjoyable and relaxing. Some of my friend at work went outside for the lunch too in order to fully enjoy this romantic weather.

I enjoyed my way back home from the bike. How could I miss such views of clouds, I took these pictures to participate in “love the clouds” contest.
