Adventure on Tusk Street

Larissa was a beautiful Poodle, the most beautiful of Tusk Street, everyone admired her for her beautiful white fur that waved to the sound of the summer breeze, and how not to forget her long legs, by God, as long as a staircase.

That beautiful Poodle was the fantasy of many in the neighborhood, but more so of the ugly little Chihuahua Casimiro, who every morning looked at her with those bulging heart-shaped eyes, his tongue lolling just watching her walk by.

"Hey, Casimiro, don't drool over Larissa anymore, you know she's not on your level. Be content to just watch her and fantasize about her love." His Beagle friend was bringing the Chihuahua back to harsh reality.

"I know, Filh, but she's just so cute, I can just imagine what my puppies would be like with a beautiful mother like Larissa." The Chihuahua's eyes shone like two shining stars in the dark firmament.

"Haha, buddy, don't dream so much, and better look for a female of your breed, like Cleotilde, look at her there she goes and how she wags her tail. Casimiro go and smell her tail to greet her."

"No, my buddy, whose heart is whose, and this little heart only beats for Larissa." His eyes sparkled and his breath hitched talking about the Poodle.

"No way, I'll leave you, buddy, I'm going to see my little female, take care of yourself, and don't dream so much about the impossible." The Beagle was lost in the orange horizon.

Casimiro let out a sigh into the warm afternoon that little by little was getting lost in the night curtain. The instant he was leaving, he saw the beautiful Poodle parade in front of him, that elegant swagger and the sensual wagging of her tail made the little Chihuahua faint with love.

He let out a shy, soft bark, catching the Poodle's attention. "Hi Larissa, don't you... I... know I..." The Chihuahua took a breath to gather courage. "I'm Casimiro, I've seen you around and wanted to talk to you."

The Poodle looked at the poor Chihuahua trembling like a half-set jelly. "There's so cute this little Chihuahua, he looks so cuddly to me".

"Do you think so?" asked Casimiro wagging his tail from side to side.

The Poodle was coming insinuatingly close to Casimiro's tail. "I think so, little dog."

The Chihuahua jumped and could not believe his ears. Larissa the most beautiful was coming on to Casimiro the little Chihuahua, maybe it was a beautiful dream, one more of his night fantasies. He closed his eyes again and again hoping to wake up, but she was still there waiting for an answering bark.

"For a long time I wanted to talk to you and I didn't dare to do it, I thought you weren't interested."

"You were wrong I always hoped you would talk to me, little dog." He circled Casimiro and licked his nose.

The Chihuahua fell to the ground and could only let out barks of excitement. "You make me the happiest dog in the world, my beautiful Larissa."

"So cute, my little one." The Poodle let out a sob into the night air.

"What's wrong, my beautiful Larissa?" asked Casimiro without taking his bulging eyes off the Poodle.

"Nothing, just..." Larissa would pause dramatically, "You would make me very happy if you could retrieve my bones from that horrible Doberman. I'm nothing without my bones." Tears were streaming down the Poodle's dark eyes.

"Don't worry, my beautiful Larissa, here is your hero who will recover your stolen bones." Casimiro stood up like a superhero and ran at full speed to where the Doberman who was famous for his strength and bad temper was.

He reached the Doberman who lay peacefully asleep, the Chihuahua slowly slipped away from the dog, as black as night and with eyes as dark as the darkness of the underworld.

The Chihuahua with his nose sniffed the ground and came upon the mountain of bones. It was a delicious booty that he would recover for his beloved, on the other side of the fence Larissa was waiting for him and she was signaling him to throw her the bones one by one. Casimiro began to bring her the bony targets.

The Poodle was piling them one by one away from the Doberman's ground when he was halfway through the little Chihuahua was knocked to the ground and felt a paw squeeze his neck. "What do you think you are doing, you little thief, do you want to die so young?

Casimiro could barely mumble a few small barks as the Doberman removed his paw from the Chihuahua. Recovering, the little dog sketched a few barks. "You, you foolish Doberman are the thief, you stripped my beautiful Larissa of her bones."

"Wait a minute, so you think I'm a thief and that Larissa girl told you so?" the Doberman would ask, showing his sharp fangs, and thick drool running down his muzzle.

The Chihuahua lowered his ears and tucked his tail between his paws. "I thought it was true and that Larissa loved me, now I see she used me."

"I'll spare your life because you were the victim of a thieving, lying, manipulative female, but tell me, where is she right now?"

"Over there on the other side of the fence, waiting for me to bring her another bone." Casimiro pointed his wet nose toward the bottom of the fence.

"Okay, take her another bone." The Doberman would pass him another.

Casimiro would get lost in the horizon and bark at Larissa, she would appear and ask him to give her the bone, and at that instant, the Doberman would appear growling. The Poodle would drop the bone and run in terror, and the Doberman would follow her barking loudly. The two dogs were lost in the dark horizon.

The poor Chihuahua felt used and sadness overwhelmed him. The next day, the Beagle found him and Casimiro told him everything that had happened. Filh consoled his buddy, then left and after a moment appeared with Cleotilde.

"Look, buddy, this is Cleotilda and she has been wanting to meet you for a long time, I'll leave you there." The Beagle left, winking.

The two Chihuahuas left and as they barked in a chemistry of doggy connection, the Doberman appeared. "Hey, Chihuahua, I'll tell you I got rid of that thief."

"You killed her!" Casimiro's eyes widened to the max.

"No how do you think, I wasn't going to mash myself with the blood of such a lying and dishonest being, I just shooed her to the outskirts of town and told her not to come back or I wouldn't be so nice anymore." The Doberman showed his big fangs. "And you watch who you mess with next time, you fool, haha." The big black dog was running home.

Casimiro and Cleotilde looked at each other and licked their noses, then kept walking until they were lost in the horizon of Tusk Street.

What a cute story. The Chihuahua becomes a knight errant and takes the risk to please the beautiful dog on the way he finds out the truth about the poodle.

Yes, that's right. Many times, love is just right there... all we had to do was to truly see it.

Happy new week.

What a story. Who knows Larissa was only being nice just to use him. Thankfully things didn’t go bad for Casimiro before he knew he was being used. And Filh is a great friend, he consoled him and brought someone else for him.
