Vacations are one the most relaxing and adventurous moments in life where you take some days off either to visit a friend, family, relatives and loved ones. Too bad not every vacation would give us the desired moments we want but somehow, even a worse vacation still has it's own unique taste.

A visit to my hometown in the rural area.

When are you coming to see us?, Why are you like this?, Have you forgotten the road to the village? "This is no other person than my uncle on phone from the village demanding for my presence on every vacation". But i kept giving some silly excuses like, "I'm have a school project, work is really occupying, am busy, i won't be feeling well soon and etcetera. All these excuses not because i didn't want to visit the village but because i always visit in a grand style but this time around i didn't have enough money to go and spend as a rich boy from the city.

After getting my monthly payment from the office that month, I took a leave from work so I can go spend some time with my village people in the rural at least so my mind can be at rest.

On the day i traveled, I wore a very coordinated dress and you know what that means, merely looking at me you could smell money from afar oh yes call me mini Elon Musk. I jumped inside a vehicle that i suppose should take me down to the rural areas where I'll see my people after decades being in the urban.

I sat comfortably in the bus like a chief and almost crossed my legs then i remembered i'm in a public vehicle not my father's house. I could sense people staring at me a young millionaire like i was looking then i heard the bus driver asking me to shift inside the bus and that is how he added three passengers to my side and they all squeezed me to the window of the bus. This was the begging of my rural life but anyways, i have been in a more complex situation before so, this was nothing.

"Up down up down side side up and left left" was the locomotive uniform movement of all passengers in the bus as the driver drove like he was vien diesel in the movies fast and furious but this time was on a bad road and dodging pot holes at the same time. Me that is very skinny and slim, wind would have blown me outside the car if not for God. I brought out my air pods to block the irrelevant noice of the passengers banging their head to the car windows and played a song "this world is not my home by Jim reeves" if i perish i perish.

All of a sudden i noticed the bus stopped moving and i quickly raised my head up to see if the bus has summersaulted and i'm finally in heaven! But no, we were stopped by the police force. And then the police asked our driver if he is a driver or s pilot? Umm don't know why he asked such a question maybe we were flying instead of driving but anyways, the driver was asked to open up the boot of the car for investigations and the driver came down and hide under the vehicle.

Driver?, I said open up the car boot "the police officer instructed again as he was confused on what the driver is doing under the car". The driver either pushed a button or pulled a rope from under the car and the boot opened, Wow.
No evidence of nitrogen in the car or whatever the officer may have been looking for so we left peacefully.

It wasn't long until the car suddenly got stuck with one tire fully immersed in mud. At this point I was already getting tired of my vacation in short, i felt like I have had enough vacation already and I should just go home.
The driver tried to speed up the car from the mud but to no avail, we had to come down and do the labour pushing and that is how my left shoe gut stuck in the mud after the pushed the car out.

When i finally got to the village everyone was asking me why I was looking all dirty and full of mud, i didn't answer any questions to avoid tears rolling down my chin as I went straight into the shower first.
