Some Creative Shots from theHunter: Call of the wild

Hello and Welcome back to my blog!

This week's Contest theme by the Gaming Photography community challenged me a bit as I spent a lot of time finding Creative Perspectives and the angles that I can from theHunter: Call of the Wild. Here is the contest post if you want to check it out.

Why it was a bit challenging was I was out of ideas on what to show as I have shared a lot of interesting photos from this game but I still went and explored for some secrets to be found in the maps. There are so many maps/reserves in the game and it is a lot bigger but when you don't have a photo mode in your game and very limited camera angles (no third person while on foot etc), it becomes a bit tough.

But I remembered that I bought a DLC a long time ago which gave me tents and blinds so I could set up these tents anywhere and make it serve as an outpost for resting and restocking on my ammunition. Along with the tents and blinds, I bought a Tree-stand and Tripods DLC too. You can set up these tree stands on high trees and hunt from there. I will not go into details of setting it up and go straight to the results.

It was quite a foggy morning and that made the shots even more magical.

I went to another part of the map and the weather became much clearer as I reached it. It was time to set up more of these three stands.

Just look at how Sheru waits under the tree for me to get down. I wish I could get him up in the stand but the game doesn't allow it.

I spotted some pigs from up here. I let them go as I was not in the mood to hunt.

I tried to drown myself as well and see how the world looked from under the water. I failed multiple times as the game would simply not allow me to crouch down in the water. But you can crouch and walk up to the water and the game will spawn me out of the water but not before I could take a shot.

One other interesting idea that came to my mind is using the windows as paintings. So, I went into a suitable outpost and found a good window that fits this purpose. Had my Dog sit exactly where I wanted him, took me a couple of rounds to perfect it. And I loved the result.

And I found another one, this time with an actual picture hanging on the right so you can see how much better these glass or empty windows are than the pictures.

It was time to pick up my ATV and climb to one of the highest mountains in the entire Silver Ridge Peaks map.

It was quite steep in some parts and the ATV was having a rough time going up, drifting and stopping. But I didn't give up and went there. I was carrying a tent with me too to set it up on this peak. It took me some time but I was there at the end and took some screenshots as well.

I love the above shot, it shows you how high we were in the mountains as high as the clouds!

But it was time to throw myself from the highest cliff, why not? So, I drove right off the edge. The ATV lost the balance quite early and it threw me out on the rocks while the vehicle kept going down and burst into flames as it hit the ground.

I got a new one and this time tried to drive it from a slope into the depths of the lake. I know the game doesn't want you to go into deep water so it was worth testing it...right?

Well, things didn't go as I planned because I chose the bumpiest slope ever with big stones lying all over the place. I was struggling to control it when I was coming down...lol

But it wasn't that bad as I managed to take some nice shots while I was coming down. I drove it straight into the water and the game threw me off the vehicle and into the water. This was a rare occurrence and I took a quick screenshot. There was not enough time to take out my camera and take a nice picture.

Thanks for reading...

Until next hunt...

I have been unlocking the points of interest on the Lake District map, I have a long time without going out to kill lions or any other animals, only deer, moose and turkeys.

Don't listen to your dog and kill all of them. Leave some of them alive for other hunters as well. 😂

Oh my god, if I only had looked at the picture I must have thought that it is a painting and not a window. You just nailed it there man...

This game is all about hunting animals but the open world is great to just explore and find some cool things.

Very good captures of nature and landscapes. I found the comparison between what is seen through the window and the framed photo curious.

That's a window? Are you serious? I was thinking, you hanged a photo there and then I came to know that that's a window.

Great captures. @tipu curate 8
