De nombreuses communautés comme la communauté Tron, la communauté Binance, la communauté Solana répondent à l’appel depuis la publication par le gouvernement des adresses officielles pour les dons. Les donateurs éminents incluent Sam Bankman de FTX, Justin Sun de Tron, Gavin Wood de Polkadot, Vitalik Buterin de Ethereum.
Depuis le début de l’invasion, les dons arrivent en temps réel avec le bitcoin (BTC), l’éther (ETH), le dogecoin (DOGE), le tether (USDT), le SOL et le DOT comme crypto-monnaies actuellement acceptées par le gouvernement Ukrainien. On rapporte que le pays a levé plus de 30 millions de dollars. Le fondateur de la bourse Kuna à l’origine de la collecte de fonds du gouvernement a déclaré que plus de 20 millions de dollars du don étaient en cours de décaissement.
L’association crypto-caritative Animals EOS de la communauté EOS en collaboration avec EOS Israël vient quant à elle de lancer une campagne de financement NFT destinée à offrir une aide humanitaire aux personnes affectées par la guerre. Tous les fonds collectés de la vente de la colombe NFT sont envoyés sur le compte caritatif “help2ukraine”.
