Saludos a todos los miembros de la comunidad, agradeciendo a mi amiga@zorili91 la invitación voy a participar en esta interesante iniciativa.
Soy de un país tropical, con limitaciones económicas serias, nací en 1961 y les puedo decir que fue en los años 80 cuando en determinadas épocas se empezaron a ver en el mercado con altos precios, era un lujo adquirirlas, después se estabilizó un poco y desgraciadamente ahora con la galopante inflación y escasez no es algo atractivo para la mayoría de los cubanos de a pie.
Quizás a algunos por esta limitación y por todas las historias que se mueven a su alrededor le despierten los deseos de adquirirlas.
Yo recuerdo a mi madre, cuando hablábamos o jugábamos y alguno decía o hacía algo que provocaba discusión, decía era la Manzana de la discordia, esta frase, la manzana de Adam, Eva y Blanca Nieves fueron mis primeros acercamientos a esta fruta.
Tuve la oportunidad de visitar Canadá y me encantó ver como en los jardines y en algunas aceras crecían estos árboles y sus frutos estaban al alcance de la mano, como los mangos en mi barrio, se veían bien lindas y al alcance de la mano.
En una ocasión me encontraba como parte de un grupo de cubanos hospedada en un hotel en Saint Sauveur Montreal, Canadá un pueblo muy pintoresco en Montreal, estábamos en el Lobby esperando a que nos recogieran para desayunar, nos sentíamos hambrientos, pues llegamos tarde procedentes de Winnipeg, los encargados de recogernos se demoraban y nosotros todos teníamos puestos los ojos y el estómago en una Cesta repleta de manzanas que pensábamos estaba de adorno, por lo que nadie se atrevía a tocarla.
La muchacha de carpeta se percató y nos dijo muy amablemente que podíamos tomar las que deseáramos, créanme que esa fue la ocasión que más he disfrutado de ese fruto.
Reconozco todas sus propiedades medicinales, si me gusta su sabor, pero no es algo que necesite, si las tengo las disfruto, no las tengo no es ningún problema para mi.
