Hello Hivernauts

I have always been fascinated by artificial lighting in photography. Creating scenarios from lamps in the studio to play with contrasts and shadows, mastering the basic techniques of studio lighting to the perfection of the more complex techniques is something that has always caused me deep inspiration in my journey through photography.

On one occasion Daniela came to visit me at my studio and after talking for a while we took these pictures to try some lighting techniques that would highlight her beauty and that beautiful haircut she had just had.

Finally I edited these portraits by erasing the background of the scene and placing absolute black background to highlight even more the lighting effects on Daniela.

This is the final result and although it was an impromptu session that wasn't in our plans for that afternoon, I think they turned out great. And practice is definitely the best way to learn in this wonderful artistic world of photography.
