Monomad challenge - BW - birds

I'm participating in the #monomad challenge with this post.

Title: BW - birds

The downtown park, where there are lots of bushes, is where you may find the most sparrows. These small birds, who are frequently preyed upon by cats or other birds of prey, have perfect hiding spots among these bushes.

The long-eared owl is one of these predatory birds, however, it only consumes sparrows if there is insufficient main food, such as mice and small voles. They are perched on deciduous and coniferous trees, not far from sparrows. They sleep and rest throughout the day and are only active at night, when they hunt several times.

There has been a lone duck on the lake for a while. When it comes to other birds and people, she is quite calm and trusting. It mostly feeds on the canal around the lake.

Common moorhen can be found in many groups along the nearby canal, either in the grassland or among the reeds. Because it's freezing now, birds can walk over the canal.

The rooks eat earthworms or scraps in the neighboring park. This kind of bird typically spends the winter in cities because it can find food more easily there.

Interesting images that you share with us today, I especially liked the photograph in which it seems that the owl is staring at you.

Not sure. They are strictly protected species. But you can imagine squizing it, especially those fluffy feathers.
