A submission to @phoenixwren's Curator Contest

When @phoenixwren's Curator Contest post came up on my feed it filled me with nostalgia for my more active days on the pre-forked chain. It reminded me not only how such contests build community and participation but of how much the community meant to me back then. In a show of solidarity to @phoenixwren's effort in that regard it motivated me to make an entry.

The contest expects the contestant to choose three HIVE posts under three criteria;
-One that made you happy/smile/laugh/#feelgood
-One that taught you something you didn't know before
-One that motivated you in some way

My first choice not only had me smiling yet seemed to impart a high degree of wisdom as well. It was from that poster that never fails to elicit a smile from me; @antisocialist. The wisdom it implies may, hopefully, be useful as well to you the reader.

Not My Meme! #419

@derangedvisions taught me something new. Although having used mushrooms for the psychedelic effects, the experience which he outlines in his post has only been experienced by me with LSD. What was unknown to me was that my dosages were too low. ;)

My 5 Gram Mushroom Trip Was Insane

The last entry by @josediccus motivated me in a surprising and, perhaps, unintentional way. A little over a year ago my doctor noticed that my iron count was down after getting my yearly blood work done. For a long time there had been no meat in my diet so we agreed that it would be introduced to bring up the iron count. It worked, yet it soon became more that a needed supliment to my diet and, instead, a regular item in my meals. @josediccus' post reminded me of that fact and it is now my intention to ween off of my meat consumption and deal with the iron levels in other ways which shall be discussed with my doctor on the next visit.

Once Or Twice, Moderation Is Key

A thanks to @phoenixwren for reminding me of what the chain has meant to me, as well as the posters mentioned for giving me a smile, teaching me useful knowledge and motivating me to modify my ways.

Peace Out

Hey friend, good to see you! And thanks for entering the contest. :)
Were you doing microdosing before? I know some people swear by it but others say it didn't help them at all.

My more recent experiences have been through microdosing. Years gone by we used to go schroom hunting or get them from friends or other contacts in the alternative market. They have always been warm and fuzzy for me. @derangedvisions' experience was surprising to me.
