It's not enough to set goals but to achieve those goals is what matters at the end. My Hive Goals for the year

My hive Goal for the year: Hive Ghana weekly activities.

I am privileged to partake in this week's activities. I am thankful to the leader of this community for coming up with this interesting topic for deliberation. It's become imperative for people to look back at their Hive's journey so far as the year is getting to an end. Plato once said that a life not examined is not worth living. Hence it's imperative to always checkmate our activities to know whether we're making progress or retrogressing.

At the beginning of this year, January 2023 to be precise, I wrote out my hive objectives and goals for the year. A few of the goals were to create daily content on hive, to partake in at least hive monthly stakings, participate in all freewriters weekly/daily prompts and engage in leofinance's community activities and above all accumulate at least 1000HBD.

My people, looking back on all of the above goals I can say that I have not lived up to expectations. I hold myself responsible for this. Most times due to busy schedules, I do stay away from hive platform for weeks which is not healthy for a person who had promised to stay and build a tent on hive.

Again, at some point I see myself spending most of the time on hive reading lots of other people's posts. I remember a whole month I decided to read almost all the posts that came my way. Though it was really helpful as I was able to gain lots of knowledge and insights from people's writings. Indeed hive is educative.

However, as I count my inadequacies it is imperative to also count my blessings and achievements from hive. First all, I have been able to sign up on #thread, a microblogging platform from leofinance now called #inleo. In #inleo I have been able to connect with lots of friends, having fun and sharing ideas as well as earning tokens daily.
Second, hive have come through for me in the payment of bills. Most times when I sit back and remember those moments that hive earnings came through for me I will be amazed at how a platform like this can be so helpful.

However, I may not have achieved my hive goals for the year but the truth is that I have achieved enough already for the year while anticipating to work harder next year. I have learned my lessons especially for the missed opportunities like the inability to participate in the #zealy contest and others. I have made up my mind to never allow it to happen.

I am looking forward to greater and higher goals for the year 2024.
