Feathered Friends - Show Me A Photo Contest Round 147

Hello Feathered Friends Lovers,

Welcome to #SMaP Show Me A Photo Contest Round 147!

Previous round was very successful. Together was the propmt and thank you again @haastrecht for this wonderful idea. I think it is fair enough next round to be the opposite and now I would like to see your pictures of Single birds. What I would like to see is simple - only one bird in your photo. But I would like to know why you choose that photo exactly.

Let me show you what I have. Although many of my photos consist of single birds, it is because I am trying to focus only on one. Not that it is successful all the time. When I see a raptor for example, I wish to have more detail, alas the bird is too far.

ROUND 147

SHOW ME A PICTURE OF BIRD

SINGLE

More photos of the same buzzard. Somehow I did not see as many raptors as I expected. Not to mention that it was pointless to try to make a single photo when they were flying too high, that hardly can be seen with naked eye. This one was the closest by far, but the collage is made of cropped images.

Hi FF fans :) Here is my entry to this lovely contest:

https://peakd.com/hive-106444/@lightcaptured/seagull-etudes-feathered-friends-show-me-a-photo-contest-round-147

Why "Seagull Etudes"?

Here, by the lake Kerkini in Northern Greece, the seagulls didn't just follow the trail of our boat for food.

Instead, they were dancing and drawing complex shapes and curves, touching the water and playing with the air.

It was a real theatrical performance, even a play if you wish...

Thanks and good luck, everyone!

Thank you, Joan.❤
There are plenty of buzzards here. Now while I commute, I see them perching on top branches along the road.

What do they predominantly feed on in your region? Nice sized birds to photograph 😅

Yes, we are fortunate to have different birds of prey in very close proximity. Apart from the buzzards, the kestrels live among us too. Four couples of kestrels nest in concrete block of flats. The sparrowhawk is common visitor. Booted eagle nest in the forest nnearbyand can be seen flying above home. Harriers also can be seen. I live in the suburbs, an advantage to see so many birds.

We have a great mix big and small, large mostly zooming over with the larger between rivers here.

Wow, I finally got the perfect theme for the bird that I was able to capture the other day. Will submit my entry one of these days... Btw, the buzzard photos looks so great.
