Feathered Friends - Show Me A Photo Contest Round 129

Hello Feathered Friends Lovers,

Welcome to #SMaP Show Me A Photo Contest Round 129!

I haven't got an idea of what this round would be. Until this morning, when during our routine walk with the dog, hubby and I saw the female Golden Oriole flying not far and landing on one top branch. How lucky is that? Usually we hear the oriole first and then we look for it. This time the bird was silent. Finding the Golden Oriole is quite challenging.

And that is how the idea for Round 129 came to life - LUCKY SHOT. How many times you were thinking you got the best shot and it turned out to be not focused, blurred? And then, suddenly you are in the right place with bird standing in front of you and your finger on the shutter finger? And this is the shot you did not expect, but you were lucky. Or, some action scene you caught accidentally? Or a rare bird, you saw for the first time and managed to photograph?

ROUND 129

SHOW ME A PICTURE OF BIRD/S

LUCKY SHOT

Here is my other example

Hoopoe is a bird I have the pleasure to see in the park during the summer. But two hoopoes is a double pleasure. What I consider lucky shot is the moment I caught the parent feeding the younger one.

Oriole is a bird I too was exceptionally happy to see when away on holiday. Amazing photography out in the open.

Have a wonderful day!

Oriole is very timid bird, but sings so beautifully. However, the female I think I heard before and sounded not so nice, more like a screech. Still this bird is among the ones I always consider myself lucky to see.
Have a wonderful day too, Joan! And hope to see your lucky shot. 🙂

Relatively large bird, bright colour, yet able to hide so well. Black-headed oriole very different calls, here is a YouTube link to enjoy
