With Fear Out of The Picture

Fear has been a major distraction to the actualization of many big dreams. Every where in the world, one popular saying you will hear is that:

Many big dreams of people went with them to their graves.

Most times, the one big factor that deprives people from reaching their goals or fulfilling their dreams is fear. Fear itself is nothing. It is just the imagination that occupies the heart of men and makes what they ought to pursue to become impossible. Like the popular public speaker have posited, fear is:
F- forget
E- everything
A- and
R- run.
This may sound funny. Because in actual fact fear makes one forget the essence of living which is to try out a new venture and set a new record. Another school of thought has it that fear in an acronym is:
F- False
E- Evidence
A- Appearing
R- Real

I can imagine a world without fear. A lot of advancement more than what we currently have would have been achieved. Right now, I would like to put myself in a condition of total freedom from fear. Some giant strides would be undertaken to make life more comfortable for the human race.

Without Fear

I would take a step from my comfort zone and pursue my dreams vigorously with passions and without hesitation. My dream has been to build a world without darkness, beginning from my local environment. In Nigeria, electricity seems like a venture that is unattainable. From a very young age, I wanted to live in a place where darkness doesn't exist. During that age, I detested darkness because I couldn't do anything in darkness. Even taking my bath in the dark was a huge problem.

A Trip To The Beach

In a long while, I haven't been able to visit the beach front because of my fear of the sea waves. Hence, I will take a bold step, especially in this yuletide season to visit the beach to have fun like other people do. I remember vividly that when I was younger, my parents out of the wish to make us enjoy our Christmas holiday decided to take us to the popular Bar Beach in Lagos but I cried out in fear when we reached the place because of the heavy presence of the endless sea. Now that fear is no more, I would gladly pay a visit to the beach.

Fight For Justice and Equality

The level of injustice across the world is so alarming and life threatening. Recently, out of fear, the Nigerian youths have been shut out of their rightful place in the affairs of the nation. Electoral malpractice has taken over our polity and it is now a way of life to cheat and go scot free with the illegal gains made from such illegality. There are also many innocent prisoners who have been held captives for crimes they do not know anything about. I will fight for them, like an advocate, I will ensure that they regain their freedom and reparation is made for the injustice they have suffered.

Business Risk

Business is what I have passion to do but my limitation is losses. Incurring losses has made me skip my business ideas. Some of these business ideas are what I hold so dearly. One of such ideas is that I wanted to be the first person to customize palm oil. I have seen vegetable oil packed but not palm oil. Over the years, this dream has become a mirage but now that fear isn't there anymore, let's go register this business and make some money.

Break The Jinx

The ability to be able to set a new record in creative art is one thing I have longed for but my inability has been that I am not talented in art. I want to be able to paint. One of my art friends told me recently that the first step is to try, that's about six years ago but I had feared that I would make a laughable piece of art. This had made me shun the idea.
But with fear out of the way, I would try to make good art and probably organize an art exhibition where my creative work will be on display. From painting to wood carving and terra-cotta works.
My first experience with the art was when I embarked on an excursion to the ancient Benin Kingdom where wood carving was explained to us all as an indigenous craft but the occupation has become a marriage of itself in recent times.
Bringing back African art will be a booster for our tourism and attraction as a nation and continent.
On the other hand, African art is of high relevance to art compilation around the globe. Only recently, some of Africa's art pieces or artefacts were brought back from European nations. That explains the fact that we can bring back the old glory if we defeat the fear to continue building our art, something I have decided to take up seriously.

Surely, with fear out of the picture, one can chase his dreams vigorously.
